Is Pato fit for tonight? Obviously would be a boost for us if he's not.

Pretty sure he is, having recovered from flu.

I also hear KPB has been training the past couple of days....

The more I think about this, the more a distinct pattern emerges....

We will try to hit them from the start, whilst Milan will look to contain and kill the atmosphere. At this point, one of two things are likely to happen ( apart from 0-0 of course )

1. We score, causing Milan to come at us. This will give Bale the room to perform like he did against Inter at home, when they had to chase the game.

2. We over commit, and Milan sting us on the counter. This puts everything level, and they will most likely continue to sit deep and try and do the same.

The absolute key is to score first. If we do, Milan need two goals and will have to chase the game. This will give the likes of Lennon and Bale their optimum parameters in which to perform, and will expose Milan's weaknesses physically. If we do score first, I can see us running out 3-1 winners.

If they score first, then it could end up either way.

Aslong as our defence doesn't perform how it has in recent games we should (scared) be able to do this.

I hope Len is starting and not Pen, we need Lennons lightening fast pace on the right and Bales god given right to produce amazing streaks of genius.

One thing that keeps coming into my head is that AC need to score two to win, and if we score one they still just need to score two, so if we score first tonight nothing really changes for them....

Bale doesn't start.

Dammit, if he's good enough to be on the bench, I'd have started him and gone at them full throttle from the off and tried to end the tie. He'll be good against weary players, but yeah, I'd far rather he wasn't on the bench, even if he had to come off after 60

TEAM v Milan: Gomes; Corluka, Gallas, Dawson, Assou-Ekotto; Lennon, Sandro, Modric, Pienaar; Van der Vaart; Crouch...

Subs: Cudicini, Bale, Hutton, King, Jenas, Defoe, Pavlyuchenko.

Starting exactly as predicted by quite a few. Great for Charlie to come back. Phew.....

Having King on the bench instead of Bassong is immense also !

Sandro was our best player on Sunday, bar the strikers...

His uprising has been brilliant, and a lot quicker than expected. Already better than Palacios as he can pass, and doesn't dive in so much.

The time is finally here boys. Sounds like Milan are really going for it with their lineup. FIRST GOAL IS KEY. I might end up waking the kids if we score first...

I thought they would come at us early and their line-up suggests they will.

We must keep them out for the first 15 mins and earn the right to play our football. They want to get on the front foot, we must stop them from dictating the game. Ride out the early storm then take control, this is not the time for open attacking football. Caution and counter attack at speed, then gradually let Modric take control.

If we hit them early on the counter it'll knock the wind out of them
