Last game of the season, chaps.

Lets hope we go out all guns blazing. I'm sure Birmingham will come at us more than they usually would, so it could be an end to end game. I hope they they do, as their actual best form of attack, may be to sit tight and defend, frustrate us and hit on the counter, like other teams have at WHL this season.

A good chance for us to end on a positive note, and look forward to the new season with refreshed hopes for finishing fourth.

Tough, tough game. They're fighting for their lives.

Let's hope it's an open match cause a draw won't do us any favours.

Lawro's Prediction for Tottenham Hotspur v Birmingham City

Should Wigan get something out of their game against Stoke, the spotlight - and pressure - falls squarely on they shoulders of Birmingham.

And, for me, Alex Blemish's side have a real worry.

They look like they've gone in every way - physically, mentally, they look lightweight up front and they're up against a Tottenham side that looks to have returned to form on the back of a very comfortable win at Anfield last week.

Birmingham problem is that they're not a team that finds it easy to open up and on the basis that they might even need to win at White Hart Lane, I think they're really struggling.

If you look at last season the Blues won so many games 1-0 - but this season, since they lost defender Scott Danny, they've looked so vulnerable.

I also think they've switched right off after winning the Carling Cup and they have been in a terrible rut since.

The lack of goals has been startling too.

Simply, I can't see them getting anything from this match - and that might puts Birmingham bang in trouble.

As for Tottenham, a win puts them in the Europa League and seals fifth place - and despite a late-season slump, they've had a good season all things considered.

Where they go from here is the question...

Prediction: Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 Birmingham City

According to Lawro's predictions for the season, this would put Tottenham in 6th place on 68 points, while Birmingham would be in 16th place on 34 points.

In fact, Spurs go into the game in 5th place on 59 points, while Birmingham are in 17th place on 39 points.

Here are all of Lawro's predictions for 2010-11, together with how the League Table would look like if he was correct...

Nice post EuanW another poster I like to read thanks anyway getting
to the last game of the season.Birmingham are fighting for their lives
and only a win will do them any good but I feel we will be far to good
for them and tooo strong as Harry will put out top first team as he wants
that 5th place as higher you finish in the league the more money you get.
I think Harry should start with Crouch and VdV up front as B'ham will not
be able to handle them and keep Cudicini in goal as he has done pretty
good so far and I hope King can play as he was awsome against L'Pool.
We will have a strong team out anyway and we should beat the Brum
and in my mind it will be about 3--1 any bets posters I have had quite
a lot of good results this season and some bad ones...

One of the few teams in the league on worse for than us! They'll have a lot to fight for but I just don't think they have the talent to win if we're motivated.

I've a good feeling. 2 or 3 nil.

Funny thing this, i've changed my mind about an open game, i think Brum will keep it tight to try and stay in the game, depending on how other games are going

I think 2nd half it will change, and then the fireworks should go off

"Scott Danny" Lol, classic Lawro, think he means Scott Dann??!!

Got a good feeling we will go out with a bang!! Now it's too late to really matter, no pressure to some extent and the morale seems to be better thsn the last few months!!

Good 2-0 win with King at the back and Defoe and Lennon grabing the goals!!!

COYS!!!! GONNA MISS THESE MATCH DAY THEADS!!! crying.gif

Should be a comfortable victory......double edged sword though qualifying for the EL. Not too sure if many Managers want that tournament TBH.

I'll be at the game on Sunday with my old man. Long(ish) trip from Devon.

I'm predicting a 3-1 win in our favour, though we never know with Spurs.

5th place, Europa League - not the worst thing in the world boys.

Couple of good photos there. Big Chiv at the peak of his game would have done wonders for us this year!
Regarding Sunday, if we can keep it tight at the back, and the presence of Ledley would help with this no end, we should be okay. Assuming that their tall forward is still unavailable, I would go with the two pacier forwards and be prepared to use the big man after 70 odd minutes, if necessary. If their big man is available, I would use Crouch from the start in order to neutralise the aerial threat from set-pieces. This was, after all, how they equalised at St. Andrews in December. I think we will win but in the usual Spurs' fashion; draw your own conclusions on what that means. We need to keep the car thieves out of Europe...it will limit their appeal for any potential summer signings.

not got much faith in our strikers at the moment but hope we win and go for a 2-1 victory.

not sure should we play king or not. is it better to make sure he gets to preseason injury free, and might just be able to build to fitness. or, is it better to test out that can he go two matches in row without an injury?

other wise another start for rose will be good, townsend would also be a great to see, and a good bey for nico(30min of the end or something like that).

modric to score a beaty, like in the end of last season, to get my hopes up that he has finally learned to skill of goal scoring...

Woodgate might feature tomorrow and Harry is still thinking about woodys future. Even if he plays its been 2 years, he has no chance of playing regularly next season surely. The way Harry talks there sounds like he is asking teams to come in for him.

Yeah I think Woodgate may be braced for his last game for us tomorrow.

And a solid 3-0 win to send the brums down and Spurs safely through to the Europa in 5th position.

Pav, Pienaar and Peter Crouch all to score
