This has now become a big game for us, with Arsenal now only 4 behind us, and they win their next game we can not afford to loose this, otherwise our lead i fear will be one point.

We must have our strongest team out, they will not lie down for us, and im not even going to make a prediction, because at the moment i find it easier tipping horses that tipping Spurs to win.

This is a game we must win and I think in all honesty that Spurs are a better
team than Everton I mean to say the Table never lies and we are in a much
better position and I want us to stay in 3rd place till the end of the season.
It is hard to forecast this game as Everton have made a mini revival over the
last few games but I will go for a 3--1 win to the Spurs.

I think we will get a win this weekend. Steven Pienaar won't be allowed to play against his parent club, so that will already force changes in Everton's starting line-up. Everton also have a derby against Liverpool only three days after playing us, so hopefully the players will have one eye on that knowing what the fixture means to the fans.

Very hard game to call I was right when I said 3-1 united (if only I was a betting man) but I don't think I would put any money down for this one, Lennon looks like he could be out :grr: defoe has to start.

Mark Lawrenson's Prediction for Everton v Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham are stuttering a little bit and are having to get used to being without a few key players - Michael Dawson is the latest one to get injured.

Everton, on the other hand, are unbeaten in eight games and we know how competitive they are against the leading teams. They will swamp the midfield and really get at Spurs.

Spurs are going through a poor run that has killed off any lingering title hopes but I don't think they have gone off the boil because of the talk of their manager Harry Redknapp taking the England job or even that this is them finished for the season.

They have just hit the buffers a bit, something which happens to everyone.

Prediction: Everton 2-1 Tottenham Hotspur

Here are all of Lawro's 2011-12 Premier League predictions, together with how the League Table would look like if his forecasts were correct...

exception of losing to 12 men at Stoke we've only lost to top teams in form this season. Everton are a mid level team in form. We outplayed Utd for most of that game, Everyone MIGHT force a draw but reckon Harry will start Defoe and him and Ade will shine and we'll get the win

We still have:

Friedel

Walker King Kaboul BAE
Kranjcar Modric Parker Bale
Defoe Adebayor

Or any combination including Saha against his old team, VDV etc etc. Although knowing Redknapp hes going to play Livermore and force Modric out wide and leave on form Defoe on the bench. I really hope he suprises me though.

It's hard to feel overly confident at the moment, but we have to believe we can and will win!! We totally dominated Everton at home and with Bale Modric Parker and one other in midfield, perhaps Kranjcar, but for me Sandro, either way we should have too much for them!! For me, I would like to see Defoe and Ade up top with Saha and VDV on the bench, good options if needed!! COYS, i'LL TAKE A 2-1 WIN!!

Friedel

Walker Kaboul Gallas BAE

Sandro
Parker Modric

Defoe Bale

Adebayor

That would be the team and formation for me, but I think we will see a 442 or 451 deployed by Harry!!! COYS!!!!

Agree and like your line up but think we will see 4-4-2.

4-1-2-2-1 bit narrow for me!

Would like to see Chris's lineup tbh, but would accept Saha for Ade or VDV for Krancjar but he HAS to start Defoe for me

Tottenham: Friedel, Walker, Kaboul, King, Assou-Ekotto, Bale, Sandro, Parker, Modric, Defoe, Adebayor Subs: Cudicini, Van der Vaart, Saha, Kranjcar, Rose, Livermore, Nelsen

Good to see defoe starting but I dont like to see modric not in the middle. It makes him not play as well and affects Walker as has the whole side to himself. Still should have enough to win though!
Also seen somewhere that apparently Saha is on the bench because of a gentlemans agreement when we signed him :S Cant say I believe that at all.

Never again Sandro and parker in the middle, as good as they are our midfield creativity is 0 and Bale was so lost. Bad times to be a spurs supporter.

really thought we'd win that, and in 2nd half we deserved to. Hit the post twice, and we had 22 shots on target to their 8 in the game. We completely dominated and got nothing for it.

Agree Sandro and Parker in midfield doesn't work, I said in January what we really needed was another winger. I know a lot of people like Krancjar here but really think we need another pacey winger to cover Lennon/Bale as our game plan falls apart if we only have pace on one wing.

It seems to me we are rapidy becoming a club that relies on 3/4 key players, weve got stoke next and when you look chelski were lucky to beat them 1-0, and stoke only had 10 men for most of the game, they could probably field 10 from the start and still beat us. Very disspondent with things at the moment.
