I have been in dialogue with Invision Power and our licence ran out last september, so it shows that keane wa not really bothered. As you may be aware Im an old git but young at heart and retired, and to run a site, there are costs, Lonspurs has already helped greatly, and OGY, and Vortex 444 have offered.
Just to give you an idea i now own the domain, well you never really own it you pay annually for it, but im ok with that, but then there is the server around £70.00 per year, and now the licence we have to buy from invision power, Because Keane (former owner) is not responding to my attempts to contact him to ask him to transfer the licence to me, the only other tyhing we can do is purchase a new licence, this costs $100.00 for the core product, and the add on we have for the forums etc is $75.00, so we buy a new lcence, that lasts really for ever, but does cost (once bought ) $25.00 every 6 months, but then we can get help, down loads, upgrades etc, only as it stands the site can not be changed because Keane has the password for the licence, any way these Dollar prices are 175=£125.00 roughly, then the £70.00 for server, but as i say once the licence is bought it is only 25 dollars every six months about £16.00, so annual cost (after licence bought)is about, £90.00 per year, i will do the domain i will not put that in the equalization. So i thought of setting up as PS account on paypal, just to collect each year if poss just our running costs, (if we can) even a pound will help.
