50 goals. What a gem of a player.

Saw some website claim he's the 5th most valuable player in the world! Obviously take it with a pinch of salt but he won't be far off if he keeps scoring. He'll fire us to champions league if he stays fit and firing and then we can really see what level of player we have on our hands.

In true classy fashion when asked about scoring 50 goals for Spurs he says he hopes it's just the first 50 and that he'll be here to score 100, 150 and beyond!

Value, as in transfer value, is not the same as 'how good'. Plenty of players better than Harry, but transfer value is a function of age, contract length including terms and position. Hopefully in due course Harry will become acknowledged as one of the top 5 players in the world - and still be playing for us. At which point I'd be happy for his value to go down.

What a player though - and one of our own.

same list had Jonjo Shelvey at £30M so took it with a pinch of salt. Now he's sold for £12M.

well aware value and quality are different. Kane's age and fact he's signed a long contract with us + his undoubted potential to be amongst premier league top scorers for the next 7+ seasons if he carries on means he's worth way more than arguably better players with only 2-3 seasons left at a high level.

I know I was kind of stating the obvious, but are there others at Kane's age that would give him a go for his money - value wise?

Still think we should have got a striker in during the last window. What if it had been Harry's leg not his nose?I know Poch sets his mind on a particular player or type of player but what risk would there have been with Pato on loan to us for 6 months as opposed to a loan to Chelsea? Charlie Austin at £4 would have been a good deal. Even offering Fulham an extra couple of million to get Dembele early would have been a good idea.

Dembo is out for the Gooners game. BLOW,BLOW,BLOW!!

Bloody key player in probably our most important game for years. Let's hope Mason steps up to the plate.
Bit worried if we lose Dier or Alli to yellow cards.

This game could make or break us. Can't afford to lose it because I feel we would set the Gooners up for the title.

Agreed on Pato - I also used to be a big fan of Doumbia, be interesting to see how he settles.

As for Austin - I've said in another thread that wasn't ever going to happen for a few reasons. Also seems Fulham wouldn't budge on letting Dembo2 go early.

Poch has set out his stall that Chadli, Son and Harrison will suffice as back ups for the rest of the season. Tonight is the first big test of that theory. I hope he's right!

Wishing Shayon good luck

Hat-trick Harrison got a certain ring to it.

I'm all in favour of trying to keep Harry fresh in the next couple of months. He could be on the bench a bit and come on as sub if things are not going to plan or could start and be subbed if we get a few goals up. This might be good against teams like Swansea etc. Unfortunately for us we have West Ham and Arsenal coming up and they are going to be bib,big games. We have more fight in upstanding Arsenal but the Hammers are a tough team. I hope Alli and Lamela especially be very careful in these games.

I think we showed against Fiorentina our system isn't overly reliant on Harry. Not saying it would work against all teams but low and behold we have a plan B of sorts

Great to see him scoring a beauty! he's been scoring fairly consistently for most of this season but he hasn't had too many worldies like that!

About to become our best paid player ever and sign a contract extension I hear. Although I understand the basic pay is less than what we offered Bale before he left, but with sponsorship + etc... could be a very hefty contract that should keep him here for a while!

Just think, was it 6/7 games at the start of the season when he failed to score. I believe last season all his goals and he did not come into the team until about late October unless I am mistaken.

Lacklustre and laboured - that can sort of sum up Harry Kane's performances for England in the post season international friendlies and the one and a half Euro Championship games in which he has played. But why? Loss of form? England's tactics not playing to his strength? Carrying a knock? Just knackered?
