I fear we have lost our engine room . He is only a shadow of his former self and we only get glimpses of his powerhouse performance that were his stock in trade

Seen quite a few glimpses since your insightful words six weeks ago. Happy to be so wrong?

for some time I've been bemoaning that he's 30 years old as it means we're not going to get another 5 years out of him... but the last few games the cat is now out of the bag - he's been our best kept secret for years but now fans of other clubs are calling him our best player. I'm now glad he's 30 years old as huge bids would be flying in if he was 26.

Still need to watch out for Chinese interest in him as I've said for the last couple of windows, Beijing Sinobo Guoan are apparently trying to sign him before their window closes in a week and have offered to double his salary but we've told them he's not for sale.

Nobody’s rushing to get rid of SuperJan and he’s the same age and coming into his prime

I think he's playing the BEST I have ever seen from him at Spurs. Who cares that he's 30 if he can put in this sort of shift? In the big games we had he was the main man and that's not decrying the performances of Eriksen, Verts, and Harry.

I was surprised that Poch played Lamela and not Son but in fairness, Lamela worked hard and contributed.

Can't wait to get Juventus back at Wembley in front of our crowd.

It was injuries that made most people think we need to find a long term replacement. I really don't know how we'll manage to find one though, as I've said numerous times - there's no one like him.

He is a very unique player. If he could just spot that final pass and release the ball slightly quicker, he really would have been world class.

Or shoot more. He's great at finding a yard and has a good shot on him but rarely shoots. I don't see why he couldn't be scoring 10 goals a season if he took a few risks.

Les Ferdinand trying to ship him off to Real again. Less of a stupid thing to say now he's not our coach but when I heard he and Tim used to say it to him when they were here it really wound me up.

Don't diss the Mouse :grinny:

I try to scream shoot as often as possible when he's on the ball near goal. One day :praying:

Its brilliant to see the form he has come into I'm amazed, but non the less love it, and what a time to find it, which just goes to show the older more mature sensible player can have a lot to offer. :niceone:
