This is TERRIBLE news!! We are going to miss the Toby/Verts partnership! :(

Either Wimmer or Dier can slot in there...I don't want to see Fazio playing for us again! Such a donkey!

Surely Fazio can play in the 4th round and give Toby a rest.

we need Wimmer and Toby to build rapport. Hence my suggestion.

A lot on Toby's shoulders during the next couple of months, give him a rest now.

that would mean limiting our CB partnerships understanding before we play Man City... Let's agree to disagree

Don't think Saturday's game will test them a lot.

Its a blow because as a unit the defence have been the best in the league.
I think from what ive seen wimmer can do a decent job or will dier revert back there ,we do have options i suppose.

Does this possibly mean a renewed intrest in wanyama aswell?

How bad is Jan's injury? Perhaps it is only a level 1 injury. Surely if it was worse he would have had a scan in this country not in Spain. Also looking at De Bruyne's injury last night, he seemed to be in a h*ll of a lot more pain than Jan was at the weekend. Let's keep our fingers crossed but why does the club not offer more information as to the state of the injury?

Sadly from reports, he is out for a couple of months.

I hate to say it, but the fact that they are where they are in the league, regardless of several long-term injuries, says a lot about their depth of squad.

If Vertonghen has it would suggest some insider knowledge on Hoddle's part.
