Far too early to come to any conclusion about this lad, beyond that he has potential.

When I first saw Kane, I thought one thing...

"This lad ain't gonna make it here"

What did I know, apart from f*** all?

He has had chance and he blew it. He is finished! We want disposable players one mistake and there out! Move on. This guy is on the scrap heap good an proper....

Oh wait he is young and shows good feet quick turn of pace, good dribbling ability, maybe given game time experience etc he could become good.

Most players need a couple of seasons to settle, grow, adapt.

Having said that i thought Jonathan blondel and rohan ricketts looked useful!

Onomah looks a talent and I would like to see him get more game time. I think a loan would be ideal for him though to get match time every week.

Yeah I reckon we should loan him out next year...would be good for the lad!

If you don't see Onomah's potential you are blind, simple fact. The boy is 18, we were too busy giving it a w*** at that age!

SpursDan you kind of let me down a bit, I thought you was knowledgeable but clearly you are not, He missed one chance and unlucky with the other chances because the defender defended the near post well, apart from that his dribbling and one touch passing was excellant, which helped open up Palace especially in the first half, if you can not see that then your name is haven't got a clue Dan. Hw iS 18 with little experience what did you expect, WAKE UP .

Despite what a lot of you think/said on here back in February I STILL think his lad needs a loan this year. Hes hardly gonna get much game time with us this season...we can't go throwing him into champions league games and relying on him!

I've not once said he's s***...just that I haven't seen any flashes of brilliance from the lad yet. But we might see that if he went out on loan to a Hull or Burnley etc ...he's young and hungry so hopefully he can get a loan and really stand out this season.

As for Boy Scout I've just seen your message calling me 'haven't got a clue Dan' ...I might need to WAKE UP but you, my friend need to GROW UP :grinny:

Maybe he does have potential which is why I think a loan would be a perfect opportunity for him to prove doubters (like myself wrong) :)

He's only a year behind Alli by the way ...think of it that way...don't want Onomah getting left behind he needs to step up now

Hard to say whether or not a loan would be better than training with better coaches in better training facilities, learning our style of play.

Arguments for either side

A year under Eddie Howe would do wonders for this lad. Or Njie for that matter.

More so the distance his teams cover and the appetite they show than their formation.

Exactly! Teams like Bournemouth/Swansea would be perfect for these lads to really impress Poch and show him what they can do on the pitch rather than in training.

I think it is more about showing more development rather then impressing, Poch Knows Onomah has a bright future because he see's him in training almost every day ,that is why he promoted a 18 year old to train with our first team players. I still think he is a year too early to play with grown men as we have seen from last season, because I can see him like when Kane went on loan spending most of there time on the subs bench. That because he looks big for his age does not mean he is mentally and physically ready. I Think the only player that needs to impress Poch this season is Pritchard, it is a big season for him.

I really hope he can do it I like his confidence but on bigger occasions he tended to freeze n I know he had a big fame for us against Dortmund maybe overawed is better description No doubt the kids got talent tho.
Moreso I hope Alex Pritchard makes the cut this term

Why do you assume he has to step up this year when he is only 18 years old, no one seems to mention Harry winks, Carter Vickers, Kyle Walker Peters , Shayon Harrison and yet he is about the same age or a bit younger and progressed more then they have. For me it is way way to early to judge a player, you just have to look at Kane who was nowhere near the first team at Onomah's age. I know we are a fickle bunch but really.

Sorry I was posting about Pritch. Onomah is so young you can't even judge him!
