To produce the level of performances & consistency whilst having the disturbances hes had to deal with this season has been remarkable really, add to that the huge emotional rollercoaster of literally playing for his future & coming through that he must of been mentally drained so to come back & be so reliable & pretty prolific puts him for me as a PFA front runner!

Hes class & plays the game the right way a pleasure to watch & proud to have him at spurs !

 :spurs:

We have contested his red and the 3 game ban, hopefully it will at least be reduced if not removed completely, lets see.

No chance imo. Our best argument is provocation (Lerma body checked him earlier and stood on his hand before hitting him in the back before the shove) but whilst it shows the ref was poor for not curbing this behaviour, Sonny still reacted aggressively right under the refs nose.

Yes we see shoves all the time that don't lead to yellows let alone reds but once that's given there's no coming back imo.

I agree, do you think they'll increase his ban though ? If not it's worth doing just to get him on the pitch against Everton. Just shows how important top 4 is to the boardroom.

doubt they'll increase it as it's not completely spurious, but I also reckon they'll have reviewed the appeal before Everton game so won't serve a purpose.

Hope I'm wrong and they rescind the red obviously, but I'd be very surprised.

Nice interview with sonny about past insta posts.

Interesting Poch tried to sign him at Southampton a few times.

Never seen him directly address the army stuff before, always been spoken about but not by him. Great to see him crediting the club and Poch with so much

Son was outstanding today. Scores the first with a world class finish cutting in from the right, comes deep and turns as a number 10 playmaker and sets up Aurier for the second, scores the third by stretching the left wing and calling Aurier for the cross to volley, then comes even deeper and turns in his own half and runs to the final third and switches the play to Kane out wide, who uses the same cross for Lamela.

Only bad point was not taking an impossible angle goal in the second half like he did against Everton, but this one was even harder imo. In general he links up well with Eriksen, Lamela, and Kane on the pitch.

9/10, MOTM performance. Even if Palace have a dodgy defence.
