Definitely back to his best after slumping a bit after his breakthrough and pfa young player of the year season. Great news!

Janssen to hit a vein of form and create even further selection headaches

Just seen the video about him signing a new contract.

I love him. Makes me smile when he talks. He's a proper Yiddo and a lad.

Yep, Walker reallly has come on leaps and bounds the last year or two - Poch has turned him into an all round quality wing back

Thats excellent news, I think most of our top players and those developing ones have now mostly commited to us I think, that bodes very well for the future of this great club.

Anything to read into that he never started today?
Seems to be talk of him wanting a pay rise.

We rotate our full backs when we have 2 games in a week. Have done for 2 seasons. Also feel like Trippier has deserved the nod on recent form but didn't do himself a massive favour today.

Has Walker been turned by the talk of him doubling his wages at Man City? Well, when he signed his new contract in September he must have been perfectly aware then that he could easily get an even bigger wage elsewhere but he still signed. His comments also suggest he loves the club. The real point to me is this........he was part of a team that qualified for this year's Champions League. We played our home games at Wembley but how many of these Wembley games did he play in, not many even none if my memory serves me right. The opportunity was taken to rest him for these games, even for the cup semi final at Again Wembley. How would you feel? Would you not want some kind of reassurance as your place in the team?
I know Trippier, because of his crossing, has played well in the last few games but yesterday his crossing was very erratic. He is nowhere near Walker's level and Poch must do everything possible to keep Kyle at the club.

On the other hand perhaps Walker is definitely off and Poch wants Trippier as right back. Could explain why we want a winger, someone to create the speed down the right to compensate for replacing Walkers speed with Trippier.
Will Walker Peters then be back up or should we expect a new right back in?

Yesterday's performance was down to the players executing very smart tactics from The Poch, ffs even Davies played well !
I am sure that Walker will have understood that in a squad scenario everybody can be moved/stepped down from time to time.
It seems to me that it's only rubbish journos and knee jerkers on forums who think otherwise.

Hope it's just a gentle reminder to keep his feet on the ground.

As good as Tripper's been and despite Walker's mistakes, in my eyes he's a far superior choice. So powerful and quick. 99% of the time I think his side of the field is shut down to the opposition.

I would HATE to see Walks leave. You're right when you say his side of the field is shut down. Not many wingers beat him for speed and he is a right hard nut.
He's simply the best right back in the PL.

I hope this talk of a bust-up with Poch is just "talk" and nothing else. If he has to go I hope Levy sells him abroad rather than to any of the Manchester clubs.
We've had a great season and we don't need talk of any key players leaving. We need to keep this squad together. I think he would be very hard to replace even though Trippier has played well at times. As you say, Walks is the superior choice.

Surely Levy can fix this by giving Walks a wage increase? I mean he's the England right back for crying out loud and had been at the club a long time.
Can anyone think of a better right back in the league? He's also improved because he used to make more mistakes.

I think his speed and power is essential. Trippier is a good player and a very good crosser of the ball but he doesn't have Walks speed and power. He's also quite small. There are games when I would use Trippier but you need BOTH and Walks would still be my first choice. Poch is a fair guy and Levy should iron this out with the manager and player.

We probably won't beat Chelsea but we're only a point or two away from sealing second in the league. We're on the brink of great things and the reason we have such a good defence is because Walks is part of it. It's bloody madness to sell this player to rivals like United or City. You must be joking!

It will be interesting to see if Walks plays against West Ham because we're going to need his aggression in that match.
Walks wouldn't have signed a longer contract if he didn't want to be part of the Tottenham revolution. I believe Walks (and Rose)deserve more money because of their England status. Like it or not, it's a fact that once a player plays for England their value increases. We have seen this with countless players. Walks and Rose are England regulars and Levy should make them happy.

Big mistake if - for whatever reason - we let Walker leave. Apart form the fact he's a great right back, we're going to need him next year at Wembley when our full backs are going to be covering a lot of ground.
