The original film was brilliant, so I was intrigued to see what this would be like. I love it.

I didn't go much on the original film, if it's the one I think it is. Probably to young at the time of watching though.

I've got broadwalk empire lined up and ready for this winters box set. Mind you, it took me 2 years to get through Breaking Bad.

Pretty much tomtom.

The film has more than just the wild west resort, think there was a medical one with knights etc and a Ronan / Greek one. Yul Bryner was one of the artificial beings in the western one, a gun-fighter dressed all in black. The artificials start to malfunction and the resort team tries to shut them down by cutting the power but can't, so until their battery life runs down they kill and kill. Can't recall there being any case of them developing a memory, and taking revenge though.

The character played now by Ed Harris all in black is a paying guest as far as I can gather, and that wasn't in the film so that bit is a bastardisation of the original by taking bits of the evil Yul Bryner role and putting them into another character.

Loved the film, am enjoying the series.

With the mention of other box sets, if anybody is at a lose end for a few hours I would recommend The Wire, Mad Men and Six Feet Under. The Sopranos is a given...
