not sure his wages will be that low tbh... He's getting 75k and first team football at Swansea, not sure what he'll demand from us especially as he's tight with Conte and Chelsea would obviously offer good wages.

Didn't realise he was getting paid that much at Swansea... Of course, the Chavs may still get him (they would undoubtably trump us on wages and, as you say, him and Conte have history).

don't normally go as far as lodging an official bid in those scenarios

14m ...Chelsea won't match it ...I think this one hinges on Swansea re-signing Bony

I'd like this arrangement - still feel that Vincent can come good, and regular first team football (assumption) at Swansea would be just what he needs.

Dying for pace and looking at this bloke who is slower than the entire front line. Why are we not going after Lamar, Draxler, Mahrez! Have some ambition!

Because lemar is not leaving Monaco for less than 100m as Liverpool have proved with there 70m bid rejected

Draxler is arsenal bound and again will cost 50-70m

Mahrez is Chelsea bound but is on our radar

We don't spend big especially when we are spending big on various players

I find this rather an odd signing. The guy is 32 years old and I think his best years are well in the past. Am I right in thinking that we were chasing him a few seasons back and he was always coming but never actually arrived.

Anyway - I suppose he has to be an improvement on Janssen

Huge improvement on Janssen!
His experience would be great around the squad! His lethal in the air, offers something different off the bench! Takes some of the responsibility off of Kane for scoring goals. Llorente could start in cup games etc when Kane needs a breather

Not my favourite style of football but he'd be useful in last 10/15 minutes if we need to starting trying to get a late headed goal against a park the bus defence.

I'm actually impressed by this signing as it shows poch is showing a need for an alternative for when we play against lets build a brick wall side.
Not glamorous but could be highly effective

lol I just can not see poch deciding to do a mourinho and go long ball at all cost for a win.
