soome you win mate, and some ------. Funny thing is that winner was well tipped in my paper today, but the horse i choose cue card might well have run its last race after the jockey pulled it up.

Well done mate, certainly had a few punters backing it. It was 15/2 last night when I posted, sadly, I wasn't one of them.

Right todays scores were as follows,
1st is Yidio with 40 points
2nd is ME with 32 points
3rd is TomTom with 26 points
4th is BB with 18 points.

The overall standings after day three are:
1st is Yidio with 88 points very well done.
2nd is BB with 84 points
3rd is TomTom with 81 points
4th is ME with 48 points.

So it is very close between three of you, Unless you all have a disaster tomorrow and I have some winners I will get the wooden spoon.
Its all been for a bit of fun but to be honest I have really enjoyed the scoring and totting up etc. Perhaps for the start of the flat season if anyone interested a few heads could get together and come up with suggestions for another fun comp throughout the flat season, or several comps lasting for a few weeks, IE monthly, saturdays only, what ever, food for thought I will if all happy love to run it and score etc, so if interested get your thinking caps on. :niceone:

Just done a quick edit, had another thought, could run a comp for say 4/6 weeks a time and do just the Saturday televised races. just a thought. I await your ideas if interested.

Yep well done Journo. As things stand I believe your winner today "Penhill" was the biggest winner out of all 4 of us, so you do have kudos on that one.

Thanks for scoring and running the show, I've enjoyed it very much. Good luck all tomorrow, it's anyones to win.

I'd be very interested if you ran a comp for glorious goodwood, It's one meet I always take an interest in.

thanks your post and kind comments in this thread greatly apreciated. Now thats a good Idea, I could run one for all the big meets that are 3/4 days, as you say G/Goodwood, York Ebor meeting, Newmaket, Royal Ascot, they are all 3/4 days jobbies. will willingly do them and any others if anyone wants to make a suggestion.

When I do the next one then sooner than GG i hope, i will pin the thread so it is a dedicated racing comp thread. :welcome:

Not really thought anything up, but the next big racing event is the National, not sure how we'd run a comp for one race and the meet isn't anything great apart from the big race.

Thoroughly enjoyed it and will be happy to have another go.

Banker today has to be Apple,s Shakira as i have followed her in all her races so far last year and this and she,s bidding to be the first mare in 18 years to win this particular race.

Just had to do Santini as well because of the spurs connection but takes up my other favourite option as i really wanted might bite later on.

Good luck to everyone and maybe more points should have been scored for any named winner over 10-1 (just a thought.) ? maybe a 5 point bonus ?

Cheltenham day 4.

1.30....Apples Shakira*********fav
2.10....A hare breath.
2.50....Santini**********fav
3.30....Road to Respect.

its easy reall mate just look at the 7 races at cheltanham today and tomorrow, pick a horse in each race, go by a name if it takes your fancy, pick colours, names, what ever turns you on. :grinny:

I get the basics but to me a double is something that happened 57 years ago.I appreciate your suggestion of looking to pick something that turns me on and despite looking at all the horse for today there isn’t one running called Jennifer Lawrence.

Ah well never mind, but dont get bogged down with football, you say a double to you was 57 years ago, so I assume you mean the double that spurs achieved!! sadly mate there is a lot more to life than the round ball game, look at the world we have maybe not much but its a beautiful planet, b ut sadly it is only man that is destroying it. All Im trying to say is surly football cant be the be all and end all of everything. :niceone:
