Has been forced to retire!! Feel so sorry for the lad. We should get him back in some kind of role at the club. Such a shame :(

That's really sad news.

He's already been working as a pundit so I hopefully he has some options

Very sad to hear that Ryan, one of our own, has had to retire early as a result of his head injury. Good luck Ryan!

Devastating news Im truly gutted for the lad
Hes a talented player who gave his all & done us proud during his time with us
Good luck in whatever he chooses to do going forward & would love to see spurs find a role within the club involving the academy

One of our own

Very sad, he was a decent player. Financially I am sure he will be OK, but I am sure he would have loved to remain playing for another 10 years.

It's not often when you can label a top flight footballer of having a sad way to retire but I really feel for the guy.

Would love if the club could bring him back in some capacity

bit late but just seen his interview from last weeks football focus saying Poch has opened the door for him to come and do his coaching badges & etc... with full Spurs support. Ryan said in retiring 10 years before other players he has a headstart to pursue the education needed to be a coach and that with what Poch has offered him he'd be stupid to turn it down.

Watch this space, let's hope he can become a real asset to the club's coaching staff one day.
