We could do as many Group 1's as you want, in fact you could do them all and run a league table as there is pretty much 1 or 2 a week

Unfortunately it doesn't look like anyone else is interested so running one all summer until October's St. Ledger won't be putting anyone off.

Perhaps that might all be to much of a commitment, it might get lost along the way.

Better stick to just doing Goodwood mate

Think we need to keep them short and sweet journo, I feel that interest would start to wane, bit like City winning this years prem. :grinny:

To be honest mike i think it would only be the 4 of us at the most (again)

Despite you and tom putting up the comps on your comments pages and i offered one of my spurs vs goons dvds (lol) we still didnt get anyone new involved.

Both myself and my wife are having a few health issues right now too, so for that reason i will leave it to you blokes .

My input on the forum may be a bit limited over the next few weeks and months because of that reason.

Doing the triple crown sounds a good idea to me ! the 5 classics, 2 x guineas, derby & oaks culminating with the st leger.

I have a mate who is a little in the know and has a few racing connections here and there.

He has passed onto me that Roaring Lion has trained on and going like the clappers on the gallops right now.

Think he runs in the craven tomorrow at newmarket.

Just checked and he,s a gosden horse so odds will be cramped.

Just had a look at Roaring Lions odds 3.35 newmarket today.

Absolute rubbish.

My mate is saying we are looking at the probable 2018 likely 2000 guineas winner.

Always going to be to short, his 2 yr old form was outstanding. Just for fun I'd oppose with Glorious Journey @ 7/1. Unbeaten in 2 previous runs he could be anything. Although Roaring Lion is a hot Fav.

Godolphin were winning fairly consistently on the all weather through the winter, and Gosden has already had a few winners, as he usually does this time of year. Keep an eye on his fillies, always has a few decent females.

The Queen has a wedding to pay for soon................just saying

Disappointing because my mate is usually spot on with his tips.

I have things to do today so just backed him at corals. laid out 150 to win 80. 8/15.

Same odds when I looked earlier.

Just looked again and everything else has drifted, looks a strong pick tbh.

cr@p and puts me down 200 quid since the start of the year!

Had 3 bets all year and very disappointed.

Looked one paced and didnt quicken up when asked.........! totally blitzed by the winner and lost 2nd place near the line.

May have been the dead ground and might need firm / good ........whatever but not for me.

Cant see how he was burning up the gallops but makes me think gosden has a batch of below average 3 year olds.

Enable and cracksman are a tough act to follow.

Wallet looking empty of cash and even the moths have deserted me !

Yes ! did i hear they overwinter their horses over in dubai ?

We have had a long winter and really non existent spring so maybe their horses are miles ahead of ours right now.

As for roaring lion ! he will improve for the run but 7 lengths adrift of the winner isnt classic winning form imho!

Will certainly need something thats for sure. :grinny:

I see that C appleby has had a few winners especially when w.Buick has been riding for him. I also noticed that for the last couple of years at the start of a flat season R Fahey has his fair share, but dont forget Goldolphin has his horses with several trainers. I cant say as yet (I know its early) but there is really as yet no trainer or jockey that is having that Midas touch, where everything they turn out and ride wins, but we will see.

Sorry to hear of your Health probs BB, I do know what you said in pm so hope all is not to bad for you both. :praying:
