2 of the seasons horse racing classics have been and gone with the 2000 & 1000 guineas.

2 more to classics to anticipate with the biggest races in the british isles The Derby Stakes & The fillys equivalent ...The Oaks.

Everyone invited to join in and take a bit of interest while the football world takes a back seat before the world cup.

Journo will put up the rules and i still have a spurs vs arse dvd to give as a winning prize.

Name your selections over the 2 racing days at epsom 1st & 2nd of June.

Regarding the derby ! i have been studying a bit of the colts form and although saxon warrior ticks all the boxes as a derby winner i actually like the look of roaring lion who won the dante yesterday.
During the guineas it was so apparent he was staying on and wanted a longer distance.

His trainer gosden sounded a bit vague where roaring lion goes next but i think it has to be the derby.

He,ll do for me and i like young rascal.

I think saxon warrior has more speed than the 2 i have mentioned but i reckon he will have to be held up to get the mile & a half.

His trainer had zabriskie well beaten in 3rd place yesterday so he will have a good yard stick on how good roaring lion is, but for me roaring lion wsnt ridden out and maybe could have put another couple of lengths between him and the rest.

Thats fine. Used to go to newmarket in the 1970s so that would be fine for me.

Hope journo is up for it !

Are you having a go on these 2 today ?

Stradavarius goes on any ground and the distance looks right for him.

Small 5 double pays around 3/1 :niceone:

Stradi is first time out this year though, and warsaw has at least had a pipe opener.

He's got a lot of horses running today across quite a few of the meets and a case can be made for most of them. It will tell us if he's got them hitting form at the right time.

The ground is getting quicker, so the 2 yr old form might make better reading now when looking at 3 yr olds :niceone:

As with your pick yesterday, but I guess i'm teaching you to suck eggs

Not at all yids.

You are on the right lines.

If you stick with form you wont go wrong !

I was amazed years ago how paper tipsters were way off mark with all the results at their disposal.

Its interpreting it correctly.

Dont mix soft / heavy results with good/firm results========thats when it gets confusing but i guess you know that anyway.

A horse might have 3 zeros in its latest running after winning 4 on the trot before ! then you see its been winning on firm ground but doesnt do the soft.
I always called it form interpretation .

Stradi won well, warsaw was a shocker coming last in a 4 horse race where the outsider nicked a lead and stayed well in front

I saw strad win and he did it well.

Thats disappointing when the 2nd half of a double runs a shocker.

Unlucky.

Some stats you may be interested in regarding todays racing.

Thirsk 14.10 First race.....Last 4 odds ons in the first race at thirsk have all been beaten......Can Queen of Bermuda end the sequence.

Newmarket 15.50.Fourth race...Last 5 odds ons in the fourth race at newmarket have been beaten....! Its a 2 yr old novice race so anything backed odds on could end that sequence.

No worries, it's a bit of a favs meet tbh and we could only do 2. Just made profit for the day with Yafta and got him @ 9/2. I also get a free bet to the same value as it was a televised race and the odds were 4/1 or better. Nice because his sp was 3/1.

Got to find something in the 3:40 for my free bet now :niceone:
