Apart of me thinks perfect an inexperienced coach for such a big job who won't be able to command big players. Great, could be years before they get it right.

Then another part of me says what if it's a master stroke??

What do you guys think?

good move i think.
Before You Judge My Life, My Past, Or My Character,

Walk In My Shoes, Walk The Path I Have Traveled, Live My Sorrow,
My Doubts, My Fear, My Pain, And My Laughter.

REMEMBER

Everyone Has A Story,
When You've Lived My Life,Then you Can Judge Me.

I would respect it more, but it could go either way. It also depends on what they expect from him and how much they will back him. It has the potential to mirror Moyes stint at Utd. However, it's got more future than bringing in the likes of Anchovie

It's always been advisable not to be the guy that follows the guy. I think they want potentially a top coach but not one that can demand a big budget ad is grateful to get the job.

True, but the guy left off the back of a fairly low point. If he fell below 6th, I think they'd axe him tbh

Realistically it shows a lack of ambition to the world. But for all anyone knows he'll do great. Just the board will be effectively acknowledging they're taking a massive punt

I wonder if Wenger can come back in as a DoF with a weaker appointment.

Probably should have done that but his presence would have been too great over any coach they hired.

Total gamble on their part .

Surprised they are not going for a more experienced bloke but it will be good for a laugh for us..........LOL.........hopefully ?

I think a better option may have been benitez with ashley not giving him much in the way of a transfer kitty.

In fact if the worse came to the worst and poch was to walk i wouldnt mind benitez at spurs.

Apparently levy is rooting big time for a real madrid champions league final win because if they lose they reckon zidane is gone and poch will be approached and although he has rejected chelsea ! being head coach at real is another matter altogether.

Could still be more to this seasons transfer merry go round than meets the eye.

Nothing surprises me about football anymore.....! and contracts aint worth the paper they are written on.

Nothing other than he has worked under pep who is deemed a genius of a coach even though he failed his first season in the epl ! spent even more millions to buy the title this season and now must be the best coach in the world.......LOL

Thats all really ! he must have learnt something off the genius........lol

One thing about Pep, he's better and has a better brand than Mourinho. What I particularly like about that is that it's been proved time and again and even Mourinho knows it.

There must be something about Arteta, Wang has endorsed him as well (not that he is carrying much kudos these days)

Just a guess but maybe Pep wanted to help a fellow Spaniard up the ladder. I think he does this a fair bit for younger coaches, Paul Clement I believe had a spell with him at some point.

Yep i think peps ok ! i just have this thing about managers and coaches who have unlimited spending and how they would do at a club like wba for instance.

Just me really and as tom said during another thread they still have to make the players gel.

Yep, can't argue that Pep has had a fairly charmed life with the funds, but it's hard to ignore that he's done it better and with more style than Mourinho did at Chavsville when topping the rich list in this country.

But maybe I'm just making that call because Mourinho is lacking as a human :grinny:
