Seems to be struggling to renew his residence visa and that's why he missed the FA cup. Could this force his hand at Chelscum??

Would be interesting.

Would be interesting to hear someone with a bit of big business knowledge’s opinion on how this could f*** Chelsea up.

My only current opinion is it could lead to change, change is good re rivals in a constant state of transition.

As regards Roman’s visa and being unable to attend the Cup final. Would he need a visa just to come in for one day?

I heard they tried to sneak him in for the Cup final by getting him to dress up in a disguise.

Unfortunately, a burberry shellsuit and chunky gold chain wasn't fooling anyone.

Yes would be the short answer. The visa is a resident visa to say he lives here. Reports are it expired 3 weeks ago and the home office haven't renewed it yet. He can be based abroad and come in to the country on a visitor visa but if he wants to hang around and say he's based here then he needs his visa renewed.

He had an investor visa so slightly different.

His visa hasn't been rejected. But there's an unusually long delay in renewal, which means it's potentially political wranglings in the background. He got approved for a visa to live in NY in January so all this talk of him having to retreat to Russia is probably wide of the mark. He has a 100M mansion in Manhattan. And further property in Jersey.

The Tories actively encouraged Russian investment and Boris helped sell off huge portions of London's wealthier areas to Russian and Chinese investors. Now they're saying they're going to look into their backgrounds and reclaim property if there's anything untoward, in the wake of frosty relations post Salisbury poisoning. I find this highly hypocritical and frankly a gross abuse of power.

From what I know, and I'm admittedly no expert, I would expect this to go one of two ways. His visa is approved and later we find he is a major donor to the Tory party. Or Chelsea gets sold as he relocates permanently to NY Unfortunately they are now worth a lot of money so might be sold to someone who will also provide them heavily with finances. The dream is someone useless gets involved and runs em into the ground.

The government select committee is complaining that the government isn't clamping down on oligarchs who are doing business with Putin and this might be the governments way of showing they're not push overs.

Like all here I would love for it to be a period of mess ups for the chavs but I agree with Tom in the fact that they're an attractive proposition for investors unless it's a dodgy Thai Billionaire

Only another idiot can sustain what they've been doing, a genuine business man gets involved and it won't be sustaining. They made a song and dance about breaking even one year when they managed to flog off Lukaku, Luis etc. they finished 11th ?

They burn money they don't earn. And they need a better stadium. Winner winner chicken jalfreizi. Sustainability is only available for a sugar daddy.

Considering he hasn't spent nothing at the chavs for a few years now he doesn't actually fit the criteria according to this. He's laundered his cash and backed off now trying to play the system. Really hope they tell him to do one.

In that context in mind, which is the better proposition as a club for a buyer?

Us or them? Don’t have a clue would be interesting to know re which one is now the most desirable London club.

In fairness considering the different approaches, we’ve done well to keep up with the pack.(and 2 places ahead!)

As I said, if you are buying a business it's a no brainer that you don't go near the one losing money. Unless you think you can alter that. Either way, if you have some strange desire to dominate and squeeze the life out of all the rest, you now need to out gun City's owners, and Abramovich can't do that. It's possible he wants out.

Younger squad with more valuable assets. CL. Sought after manager. New stadium. It's a no brainer who is more attractive short term.

But despite that their revenue was 65M more than ours last season. Our CL qualification Vs their Europa will hopefully bridge that gap a bit.

I can see a partnership sometime in the future, but not a complete sale.

Chavs would be cheaper to buy, but a sugar daddy won't be to bothered by that.

I'd ask the question that if you had the money to buy a club which one would you buy ? If the Council stadium could be purchased it would surely be cheaper than building a new one in Chavsville. So Spammers could be the better option for any potential buyer.
