As you say bit stiff today, but good racing all over the place, but i really like thye york meeting. Im doing the scoop 6 today but not on the dedicated betting slip just doing 25p or 50p E/W acca, likewise at York 50p E/W acca, and the six im putting on here as an E/W acca.
Im just doing some of my favourites today in our comp so not backing sensible I suppose. But 3 x 50p E/W acca's only stand to loose 3, but could win mega bucks. :grinny:

Dont have to thank me mate I enjoy doing it, thanks to you guys for taking part. I often look at others selection and think to myself what made them pick that? like one of your winners yesterday I thought were the h*ll has he dug that from, but it won!! your more of a form man I guess. Any way here are mine for today.

13.50 Mustashry
14.25 Heart Of Grace
15.00 Expert Eye *FAV*
15.40 Whiskey Sour
16.15 Sabre *FAV*
16.50 Gulf Of Poets
17.20 EEh Bah Gum
well you never know!!

Guess that was titus ?

Well i am not up on form anywhere near i was back in the 1980s-1990s etc but these comps are making me look a bit more like i used to do.

Having stopped having a bet from 2002 right up to 2017 its a 15 year gap since i tackled the horses seriously.

I am miles away from yidio,s knowledge.

I actually picked titus using a method my old mum used to use when she had a bet.

She would always oppose favourites.

She would pinpoint horses that had been placed in their previous races.

She maintained if a horse (for eg) came 3rd out of twenty runners then it had beaten 17 other runners and must have some ability.

Titus i believe came 4th out of 20 so i used her method and selected it.

Its a flawed method really but she had her wins.

I remember her betting 1/- ew A-T-C. 4-5 horses, (any - to - come ) thats an outlay of 10p today.

She often had a few quid to collect using her funny little way of picking her horses.

Fond memories for me.

As I've said before guys, I find the serious betting easier at smaller meets. Looking for a horse running in a race that it is far to good for. The top class runners that we've seen this week also can be decent. Stradi unbeaten this year for example. If Beagle had stuck with Roaring Lion he'd be well up on a level stake this year also.

I always build my slush fund with low stake bets, that way I can go for more riskier punts. This makes it more fun, as an example I had 1.50 ew on a 33/1 winner last night at Chelmsford (Roof Garden) it was a hunch and they turn up on a Friday Night on the all weather :niceone:

We'll soon be coming into the part of the season where the big trainers start moping up small prize money, if I see any of the big boys throwing a decent horse into a low grade race I'll try to post them :niceone:

John Gosden is a dab hand at nicking these prizes, and Godolphin always campaign a couple on the all weather through the winter.

totally agree that the big boys look to scoop prizes near back end of season, winter hay money.!! And as you say Gosden is a goodone to follow. Ive been doing a few of Richard Fahey's lately. also like Becket he turns ouot a few at the odd decent price.

Any way thanks for entering guys.

Hi Guys according to my reckonings it finished up
1st Yidio with 108
BB with 104
Me with 85

Happy with that also had a non runner.
Thanks for taking part.

Back to this free bet thing, you can win money or so they say, is it really genuine? why i ask is as I said before when you look at results no matter what the prices there is nearly always someone with 6 or 7 winners, so if these persons can really keep picking horses like that why is it there names never appear more than once?

Every commp their is a load of new names that have all the winners, so what happened to the others?

I didnt do it today I picked them then went to back them I use betfair now in those 7 races there was one four horse race so the site would not let me back e/w why is that does any one know? If you go into a bookie with a 7 horse acca on an ordinary slip you can still back E/W but in the four horse race you need obviously to have the winner the rest could all be placed, but not on betfair, if there is not enough for a place the whole bet has to be win. BETFAIR? I dont think thats very fair.

well done with Ghost Watch Yidio. Hope you backed it.

Nope, afraid not. lol. I did back the two favs though. :niceone:

Picking 7 from 7 isn't something anyone can do with regularity, it's very difficult Journo. The comp is genuine, but it's highly unlikely you will win it. But it's free, so enjoy it. You never know !!

Forgot about the bonus ! well done.

Looked to me earlier that journo was giving 6 points for 2nd.

Final tally then is 108 you and 102 me.

It was me that suggested 10 extra points for a 10-1 or more winner.................LOL

Getcha next time.
