8 horses that I think you could make a case for
MINELLA TIMES
BURROWS SAINT
DISORAMA
ANIBALEFLY
SUB LIEUTENANT (BIT OF A LONG SHOT)
SEA THE SHELLS
KIMBERLITE CANDY
CLOTH CAP

I spread my national bets over the past 2 months, even got the 4/1 favorite at 12/1. have been following the Skelton stable this season over the jumps so would, nt rule out Harry,s ride in the National Balklion.

everyone will have their choices but these are mine.

Harry Skelton confirmed champion jump jockey last week end, backed him to be champion at start of season, then this weekend 2nd and 4th in 2000gns at 6/1 and 40/1, now today good e/w on Frankie Detori winning 1000gns he did at 10/1 so decent weekend. :niceone: :dancing:

Anyone been following the Ebor meeting at York ? Mishrif yesterday was a decent price for a horse I thought was nailed on. Unfortunately I believe Snowfall today is also nailed on, but it's price is woefully short.

Hope everything has been going well with everyone not been posting in a while as it got a bit toxic again on here, but had the odd lurk. Itís nearly Cheltenham time again, not sure I appreciate the longer format now I preferred the 3 dayer, but meh it is what it is. Any juicy anteposts ongoing for anyone? First year Iím not touching anything AP!

Ogy often gave some good tips on here but is no longer on the site. This is the first year in ages that I as of yet have not got nothing anti post at Cheltenham. will post if I hear of anything.

cheers for that mate. As it turned out yesterday I did,nt win but there again only lost a couple of quid, so dont mind that. Im not a big better, only small stakes, but im the kind of person who say is happy doing a £3.00 bet Im happy if i get 3.50 back ive won, plus Ive had the enjoyment of watching quality racing, no good for anyone that does not enjoy racing and betting is just a means of hopefully winning large ammounts.

have done 4 of P Nicholls today all fairly long shots, but will be more than happy if they get a place. Might pick another bet and do E/W accum, when i get my paper soon.
If your having a flutter good luck to you also my friend, enjoy the racing.

Shame about Shiskin needed him for a big pot today but like you say just happy to watch the racing. Had a nice treble come in yesterday so whatever else for the week is in exception free betting, shame about the ground feel like it will ruin a good meeting, everyone straight on the Venetias horses straight away. Hope my old friend Tout Est Permis runs a stormer in the Glenfarclass after his G2 in 2019.

Really can not believe the decission to water overnight, I knew yesterday there was heavy rain due there today, I think they need to get a better weather service. I actually ended up with just over £5 profit on the day, so very grateful for that, so live to fight another day. :niceone:

Journey - i see you love your horse racing and its common knowledge that queen elizabeth did also.

I was looking at some info about her love of horse racing and saw that the queen wanted to breed a derby winner.

Apparently she had many attempts at the famous race with horses like aureole - milford just to mention a couple.

So how frustrating it must have been for her to sell one of her brood mares " HEIGHT OF FASHION " To Hamdan al Maktoum.

He bred her to champion miler Blushing Groom and produced - Nashwan - derby winner 1989.

As i said - this must have been very frustrating for her - she could have been able to breed her mares with any racehorse sire in the world but missed this opportunity.

Apparently the mating of blushing groom with height of fashion ( both top class horses in their eras ) was a classic blend of mixing speed with stamina.

Perfect mix if you are trying to breed a derby winner.

Yes the queen was passionate about horses, and racing. She really liked the flat racing. It was once said that she said to someone "I can do without all this" (meaning the pomp) I,m here for the racing!!

It is a shame, but its the pinicle to not only have a Derby winner but to breed one that is significant. As you say she tried several times to win the race but without joy, but that did never deter her from her love of racing. But equally she derived as pleasure from talking with trainers and visiting stables here and in Ireland.

The Queen mother also loved her horses but I think she loved the racing side a bit more, and her forte was the Jump racing.
