I know we have Huddersfield coming first but all eyes are on this one for me.

Another big game at Wembley.

Here's my team

----------------Hugo-----
Aurier----Sanchez----Toby----Jan----Rose
---Tripps-----Dier----Wanyama-----Davies
-----------------Son---------

In all seriousness though we need a good performance from our key players. I don't envy Poch having to make the team selection with a few now at their best, some fresh back from injury and real competition in the AM spots.

Lamela to start or impact off the bench?

I had us as away for some reason. :getyacoat:

Hhhmmm, not sure. I think they will play through us if we play our usual game and our recent pathetic defending suggests we should tighten up and play on the counter. No real need to worry about out abysmal set piece defending as they are not the biggest side.

Watching them last night if you bank up fairly narrow and left them have the wings, they run out of ideas. They'll swallow up little one-twos around the edge of our box, so it appears that clogging that area with bodies is how most go about playing them.

Obviously we need a threat on the counter and don't want to invite them on to much, but if we try playing our usual slow possession football from the off we'll get hurt. Got to be intense whatever we do.

our passing from the back needs to be bloody good. They love to press, and beating the press is where we can counter. Hoofing it up field won't work. Just need to make sure our back 5-7 players are always moving and offering options to whoever is being pressured.

I'm preparing for a loss. That's what my head thinks. On the other hand my heart is predicting a 3-2 win!!

33/1 for 0-4 Barca win. Can't rule it out.

I know itís bad to even think about doing it , actually doing it is beyond appawling , but a cheeky tenner would certainly help cushion the blow .

And if we win or draw then Iím over the moon anyway

Haha, I've backed our opponents more than once, I usually keep quiet about it these days though. I'll probably look for a goal scorer bet against Huddersfield. Kane Hat-trick anyone ?

Forget that, anyone close to a Hat-trick will be taken off and rested.

A Delle brace v Huddersfield is 14/1, the only value I can find.

The Team is different compared to last year. Either the Team has reached the saturation point or Poch?

Don't think Spurs will qualify for the knock out stage.

Just hope Spurs don't suffer huge humiliation against Barca.

I hope the players will perform according to their huge wages.

Oh mate, look like a Rugby line up with 9 defensive players 😀.

Good one but maybe play Llorente instead of Son. Let's be positive! ;)

I think we tend to do well in games when everyone is giving us no chances so I can see us getting points out of this one and making up for that bloody Inter loss. I think we're a bit more confident after 2 good results (although not so good performances).

Both teams are playing sh1t but they have way more quality than us so I don't know what is gonna happen.. but I will be more concerned if poch thinks we can just play our normal game against a side like them.. he needs to play not to lose... they have Messi he could kill us on his own

We might be forced into playing a 4-5-1 after all.

Sitting here having breakfast ,watching sky Sports News and canít get my mind off the Barcelona game and thinking of all the injury scenarios. Was Dembele taken off at Huddersfield bevause he was injured or to give him a rest as heís played too much lately given his physical, problems? Was Bertonghennyaken off for the same reason, two goals up,,give hi, a break, nurse his knock. After all he played a large part of the first half after the knock and didnít seem troubled. Is Poch just indicating false information to Barcelona and are they doing the same?
If any,of our reportedly injured players actually pass late fitness tests will they break down.No No, that could never happen at Spurs, not with our medical team!!
Well,I am actually feeling very optimistic about Wednesday, that until Mark Hughes comes on screen.Heís such a happy little chap pie.I feel b loody miserable now, thanks to a fellow Welshman.Bet he canít b loody sing either.Perhaps they havenít got any sheep down in Southampton.
