Yea both imo were over priced , Wilson was never a right fit for us .
Watkins would be but the fee is too much of a gamble so I understand not pursuing him.

That being said it’s another window that feels a little underwhelming for us.

Possibly 10 game lamela as well and Danny R.

But how much "Realistically" could we get for these guys? and who would buy them from Levy? We can't even raise funds for big Troy.

We are fckd - Jose to walk by November! Poch to come back and realise still no Dembele replacement (as if ever) and walk by Jan. Arry to save us from relegation by April.

Yeah sissoko has his fans on here but what i see is a player that can defend and run up field with the ball only to give it back to the opposition and we are back defending again.
At least get the fking ball and pass it to one of our players ?

Aurier is a bencher now but not a bad option ! he will walk when his contract ends in 2 years time unless levy sells him before that happens.

While we are quoted £20 m for wilson and £28 m for watkins why should we do cut price deals for foreign clubs ?

With no money the emphasis is on the scouting system to find bargains ? thing is once we show interest in a player the price doubles.

The academy needs a wider outreach much in the vein of chelsea's .

We had 5 youngsters out on loan last term while chelsea had about 25.

I was banging on about him most days during the summer.

We were in for him but brentford,s valuation was a bit too high for us.

You have to respect the price daniel put on the player but as i said at the time if he turns out to be a success he will be permanently out of our price range.

Early days but the goals have dried up a little for the player after that hat trick vs liverpool.

I wanted us to buy him but not at any price......! £28m possibly rising to £33m was too much for a player who was only going to be signed to fill in for kane.

TransferMarkt are not usually generous with their player valuations but they have him down at £27m.

I would have thought levy probably went to £22m & i would have thought thats about right .

I certainly would,nt have wanted spurs to pay £28m for him.

I for one don't care that we missed out on him. Don't get me wrong he's a good prospect but we've done magnificently in the transfer market, especially the forward line with Bale and Vinnie coming in giving us a strong first and second choice front three. Parrott and Skipp will be the future so nothing to worry about there.

No doubt he has scoring ability but as other have said we do have players in the area and if we had him then we would be overloaded in the area some would,nt get game time and want to leave. Good luck to the lad.

He would get the same game time as vinicius gets with us now but i think levy's valuation was correcr.

No regrets not buying him but interesting to see how he gets on.
