Well he certainly started the season with a bang but is it just me or do others think Lucas has gone off of the boil.

With him, Son & Lamela competing for one place in the starting line up he would come last for me. Son offers much more with his pace, power and eye for goal. Is Lucas going to be a bench warmer ?

Thoughts ?

Hmmmm I think all 3 of Son Lamela and Lucas have had good and bad patches of form so far this season so i wouldn’t start calling moura a ‘bench warmer’ just yet lol

Lucas is a top class player, you don't play for oil rich club like psg and his national team if he is average.

I mean you were only part wrong. He still came off the bench.

He started the season looking like Salah, he's now settled into being a useful player but probably won't be as prolific. Great option regardless.

Nice to see Harry knock in an assist for him, there's definitely less chemistry between them than there is with Sonny and Kane but that will come in time.

What an insane performance. His 2nd goal was one of the most technically skilful goals I've seen in a while.

He still needs to improve his chemistry with the rest of the team at times and create more for others, but he's shown he can be an absolutely superb individual. Most of his goals have been solo efforts, imagine how good he'll be when he really clicks with the front line.

Inspired purchase and we need more of the same.

Upgrade the scouting system and seek out these type of players that are class but dropped by clubs spending mega millions.

Gave the performance of his life in the biggest game of his life.

It's what you want to see.

Now for consistency but if he had any doubts whether he belonged at the highest level they should now be banished.

United can keep an unbelievably and clearly overrated Martial.

" eh wassat " "did someone say sumfing "

Seriously i always thought i was neutral in my opnion of moura but maybe made knee jerk remarks on the player.

Definitely a lethal finisher when he gets the chance.

With kane, son and moura we have a lethal attack when you look at it.

Lucas had the game of his life - no doubt about it.

One quick question tho. In the unlikely event of of our entire squad being 100% fit would he be on the opening team sheet and playing in what position and what formation

Well i thought against Bournemouth, he was our best player by a fair margin...not only did he beat many defenders at once as the lone man upfront, but also fought hard for the ball, and held it up well.

He will start.

If Kane is fit, he and Alli behind the big man making their runs would be my thought.

Then it's Sissoko and Eriksen plus one.

At that point it's a choice between Dier or Wanyama or Son. If Winks were fit I think he would start and Son on the bench.

It is Moura's runs through the middle which are hard to stop and it's hard not to feel that Moura won't see this now as his tournament.

A big call but at the moment out of he and Son, I think Moura the more likely if it's a straight choice.

If it came to a straight choice for me it has to be Son to start with Moura coming on for last 25 mins
