We're 11 points better off but unfortunately Liverpool are 14! Thankfully City aren't doing as well.

I think the title is probably still a bridge too far but if Liverpool get a dodgy result their confidence and form could fade.

As far as i can see we are definitely in the mix for the title and wouldnt that be a great advert for clubs that have a youth set up and limited finances when it comes to the transfer window.
There,s always that word "however" though ! i think the dissenters on here all agree we are 1 or 2 players short of being genuine title contenders.

This not being addressed in the summer might come back and haunt us.

Any winter window signings would be too late to take any active part in the push for the title this time round.

Moura (for eg) needed a pre season behind him to make any impact.

I said at the start of the season that we never get going till Christmas and have the best points tally of any team till end of March for the past 4 seasons till we tire out.

The fact we are so close gives me belief that we can probably win it. We've always been chasing but have never been 6 points off before Christmas. L'pool have to prove they can maintain that level all season while I know City can and we can till end March.

What's in our favour is we're not drawing games which makes it easier to close gaps and pull away. We need to maintain this form over this period and hope that a draw or win by City on the 3rd and we make it really tight up there.

I believe.

That's just made up, we were not behind Burnley last Christmas. Anyway, as much as I am desperate to see Spurs win the title, I genuinely think the Scousers have got is sorted
