Alright prioritise the cups brigade. We have a semi final Vs Chelsea on Tuesday, players just played 3 days before this fixture. Is this a permissable time for Poch to rotate in your eyes and blood some youngsters?

Vertonghen, Lamela and Dembele back in training but not available. Dier training on his own. Wanyama still injured.

Expecting quite a few squad players. Tranmere will be up for it so hope they're not complacent, we should be too good for them even with a lot of rotation.

The fact we have a semi final against Chelsea a few days after it means obviously there is going to have to be changes, because Iím hoping we give everything in that game . Treat it like a final itself. Iím firmly in the prioritise cups brigade , but there is going to have to be changes for this .
If we wasnít playing in the semi final and it was a league game . I would have gone full strength .
Should be a good game against tranmere .

If a rotated squad cannot beat tranmere then the back up players need to be shipped off lol. We definitely should rest some for the Chelsea game.

We have the added bonus of playing on a Friday so more rest.

I would play:

Gazzaniga

KWP Foyth Sanchez Davies

Skipp Winks

Lucas Alli Parrot

Llorente

That team should have enough to win with the bigger players on the bench just in case. Definitely a match to test some youngsters even if from the bench.

Like that line up chris.

With gazzaniga we wont be shipping silly goals for a start.

I'd possibly add N'Koudou instead of Parrot though, haven't seen anything of Parrot to make a strong opinion tbh.

So much truth in the first line of this post. If we had an injury free squad we'd still be calling to sell half of them :lmao:

City are the one team we haven't laid a glove on in recent years. The closest we got was this year playing on a cow field. A final would be nice and I'd always want us to beat Chelski. If you offered me a win against Chavs and a loss against Tranmere I'd take it.

I'd say it's a little early for Parrott and from what I know he's more of a striker than an AM. Very exciting prospect though.

I suppose if we play Llorente then Minibar ought to know what his job will be.

Get some chalk on your boots, run at the FB and stick it on the big guys head.

I hope Griff is reading this :niceone:

I know heís a striker but llorente is just there for banter really so he would play more attacking.

I just think itís a waste of time play Nkoudou seeing as heís not played all season and is not in our plans. Maybe not parrot but another youngster.

It’s a pity that this game, does not coincide with our injured players being ready for a game. Jansen, Vertonghen, Dier, Dembele and Wanyama and Lamela are apparently back,in training .Two more weeks and they could have had a game here. Porch will have to,use some players who are on their way out ,shame that they will be cup, tied. Knowing them, however, which English clubs would buy them? .Have to play to Llorentes strengths for this one so a couple of wingers or so called wingers.

Gazzinga
Aurier...Foyth.....Davies.....Walker-Peters.
Skipp.....Sissoko......Georgiou
Moura.....Llorente......N’koudou

Sissoko is playing almost every game, do we rest him for this game or UTD.

Parrot is a striker and he is not very quick, if Nkoudou is available I would play him there to give a bit of balance and pace on the wings. I am a huge fan of Georgiou I think he is a really talented winger, I am surprised poch has not give him more chances.

Got a strange feeling we are going to,win the double this year. Remember when we always seemed to win the cup when the year ended with a 1, well not recently. I think of that expression Ď What goes around comes aroundí. Just think we last one the double in 1961........61 /. Turn that around and you get 19. Mark my words.

Poch is up to his old tricks prioritising top 4 over FA cup so don't expect a strong team tonight. But IMO he is right. We'd all like a cup win but staying in CL and being identified as a CL club right now is more important than winning a cup. We have a great chance of getting to league cup final so it is not as if the domestic cups have been neglected this season.

Ask any Gooner fan and you'll understand that they are desperate to get back in to CL and break out of the Thurs-Sun cycle that we were in for so many years. Don't take CL for granted or as a given. Man U and Arse are ready to pounce if our league form drops off.

Interesting team... KWP, airier and Davies. Maybe three at the back with Davies centre back?

Gazza

KWP Foyth Sanchez Davies Aurier

Skipp

Son Alli Lucas

Llorente

Stronger than I thought. Disappointed to not see Parrot
