I would be against Lozano as he can't play striker. Zaha and especially Werner would be good as they can both play up front as the striker or drop wide although fundamentally we would have to change our approach. Werner, Tielemans or any new buy would want to get regular football and Kane being played every game really doesn't allow that. Harry would need to rest every so often as Aguero, Aubamayeng and Lukaku and others do for the big clubs. Only Liverpool seem to keep the same front three week in, week out.

Werner then can play in the middle when Kane is rested and maintain sharpness which is the down fall or Llorente and Janssen. Son can do it and that's why he's always sharp. When Kane plays Werner would have to play wide in a front 3 or be rested himself. Sterling and Sane don't start every game so can't see it be a problem. Dele might have to drop deep in to CM as well to allow all this to happen but I think it could mean an end to Lamela or Wanyama but we would be more rounded and flexible squad.

Players to go for me would be

Michel Vorm
Fernando Llorente
Vincent Janssen
Kieran Trippier (ahead of Aurier for the exit as he would expect first team football)

...thus would leave us with this as a squad for our 4/2/3/1 formation:

KEEPER: Lloris/ Gazzaniga/ u23 home grown keeper
RIGHT BACK: WAN-BISSAKA, Aurier, KWP, Dier
CENTRE BACKS Jan, Toby, Sanchez, Foyth, Dier
LEFT BACK: Rose, Davies, Jan
CENTRE MID: TIELEMANS, Sissoko, Dier, Winks, Wanyama, Dele
ATTACKING MID: Eriksen, Dele, Son, Moura, Lamela, WERNER or ZAHA,
STRIKER: Kane, Son, WERNER or ZAHA

If Eriksen or Toby go I think logic says Maddison and I would still be tempted to make Dier CB and would leave a CM partnership of Tielemans and Sissoko

Looking in to it the Werner thing isn't such a great idea, over three quarters of his time is playing striker, we need someone who plays about a third there as Kane will be there most of the time. Son plays wide so maybe an attacking cntral midfielder that can play striker is the better option to allow all a decent amount of game time, Fekir would fit that perfectly and only has a year left on his contract. Could fill in for Eriksen too

We conceded too many goals this season. Our transfer activity should be on tightening the defence. Ideally a World Class CDM.

Tielemans with another goal today. Why the h*ll did we not get this guy in on loan, I remember really wanting him to replace Dembele. Hope we donít let him go to Leicester permanently and see him become a top player.

We're never getting Neves. I'm tired of repeating it. Us and Liverpool tried to sign him but his agent is a "consultant" for Wolves so he went there even though we both were prepared to pay a lot more. Listen to the corruption. One of the highest rated young players in Europe who was proven in the CL turned down a move to two English CL clubs for a hefty salary to join a championship team.

Add to that Wolves are now demanding 100M for him as City and PSG have joined the race for him. Pep's already said publicly he's overvalued. We won't get near the deal.

If we are strapped for cash there are some squad fillers with Prem experience. We obviously need to add quality firstly to improve the team but it always helps to have depth and a couple of free agents could help.

Van de beek looks absolutely perfect for our system/Poch. His energy is relentless and has a good end product - id like his as competition with Eriksen.

Hoping for something like this

Sessengon
Grealish (only if villa DONT get promoted as he will be cheaper that way)
Tielemans
Lozano/Martial

Anyone reckon United might finally let Martial join us this summer? Surely itís time to cut their losses with him

We might not make loads of signings but we will definitely make a few, especially if we can offload some

Sessengon ( failed in the prem ) no go.

Grealish (if villa win the play offs) = no chance )

Tielemans ( he,s a leicester player now )

Martial (No way man utd will deal with levy)

Lozano (massive injury and out for the season )

So youíre ready to quit on Sessegnon because he had a not so standout season for the second worst club in the league at the age of 18? I think he could be a good left back for us, we play with very attacking full backs so I think heíd be good. Think he could become a top player with the right help. Heís only 18!
Grealish we wonít get if we donít offer what villa want so 🤷🏽‍♂️
Toby was a Southampton player too, if we truly want tielemans we can get him over Leicester
Martial is a no go
Lozano Iíve been a fan for a while but if heís injured then thatís it for now I guess

should stop listening to the voices in your head mate.

Try Poch from yesterday for starters talking about how we need to rebuild the squad and how it's going to be "painful". Doesn't sound like a quiet window to me.

Bit insulting and voices in the head usually goes along with mental illness ? maybe your fellow admin will look at your ott response to my saying " we will have a quiet window" ? i actually believe an apology is due here over an opinion on our transfer activity which over the last 2 years (by its evidence) has been very sparse to say the least.

What poch wants and what levy actually gives him are two different matters but obviously you havent connected with this fact.

The evidence is that the stadium cost has influenced our transfer budget in recent seasons.

Good for you if you believe in pochs new build statement.

A bit like the "we have to be brave " from last season. :grinny:

I wont repeat your message back to you because i may get another lengthy ban.
