Saw a few betis matches this season, as la liga is being covered pretty good on Dutch tv, and he would be a very good signing ~35m max? 88 is world class level..

Itís a sad state that football has reached that you have to pay top money for players with potential. Itís no longer the case that you pay big money for proven players. I think 60m would be an ok amount but 88m is just bonkers. 35m for a player that score 16 goals in la Liga from midfield just wonít happen when the average player is quoted at 30-40m.

If you want my opinion, this one won't happen unless we pay a lot of money. Therefore, it won't happen.

Heís away with Argentina at the moment I think but he may have to make noise at betis to make this one happen. Donít see us spending or want us to spend 88m on this guy who there is no guarantee would do well in the PL. 50-60m should have been enough for a guy they signed a month ago for around 22m. They be tripling their money in the space of a month but they still want more, ridiculous.

Its the prem tv rights chris.

They look at what our clubs are getting and they want part of it.
How can they achieve that apart from getting their share via player sales.

Makes sense even if we dont like it.

Thats why long term its academy and bargain hunting lower leagues.

Hazard has reportedly gone for an initial £89M with a possible further £60M added if he cuts the mustard.

It's reasonable for Levy to ask for £100M for Eriksen with £60/£70M up front and the rest later.

This would allow us to replace with Fernandez or Celso and Levy could smuggle any further payments towards the stadium debt.

Suits everyone except those who'd like us to sign both. Although a reported further £150M is reported to be available after the sale of Eriksen.

Argentina are s***e and it makes no sense because they have some top attacking talent. I donít know if this guy is a 70m player but we need to trust Poch if he wants him.

Christ thatís awful news.

No idea why we want to spend £70m on a chap with 4 assists in the Under 14s My little pony league in Spain

Ironically we have an Argentine manager, and not one argentine weíve had has looked suitable to his needs. (Bar Gazaniga)

Foyth is a good young CB with a bright future who is still rough round the edges. Lamela when not injured (which is rarely) a solid bench option who Poch didn't sign anyway. Gazza is a decent 2nd keeper.

We've not thrown huge money at any Argies under Poch. Don't see the problem if he thinks he's what we need.

I suspect we won't deal at the price quoted. Especially as he's pushing to move to us.

We aren’t going to get them down to £40m which is only then in Ozil territory I might add.

This one just smells of disaster

Slightly going off on a tangent, if and when Lo Celso and Ndombele sign, who do they replace in our first 11? Assuming Eriksen is on his way is Lo Celso a straight swap?

Along with Eriksen there seems there's a fair chance Toby and Trippier are leaving. Sanchez can come in for Toby but who will be our first choice right back, Foyth is playing there for Argentina, could Dier move back there so there's room for Winks and Ndomebele in the middle?
