Not really news but good to hear from the horse's mouth. Bizarre having a release clause a club can ignore lol, imagine if we'd got him for 31M after that season. Levy must have been licking his lips lol.

Can't believe no one picked this guy off. Would still pick him ahead of Dybala in January

Itís hardly a release clause if they can pay 4.5m to cancel it lol.

yeah. But in a way it's a good thing for a player as that's a hefty bonus.

let's be honest he's the one that's being touted as Eriksen's replacement, a creative goal scoring midfielder. Comparing the two of them and the way they're progressing/ regressing from Eriksen's peak three years ago it is no surprise and probably the biggest factor of change in our current team's form.

2017/18
Eriksen: 14 goals (1 in 3 games), 13 assists (1 in 3 games)
Fernandes: 16 goals (1 in 3 games), 20 assists (1 in 3 games)

2018/19
Eriksen: 10 goals (1 in 5 games), 17 assists (1 in 3 games)
Fernandes: 32 goals (1 in 2 games), 18 assists (1 in 3 games)

2019/20 so far
Eriksen: 10 goals (1 in 9 games), 17 assists (1 in 9 games)
Fernandes: 8 goals (1 in 2 games), 6 assists (1 in 2 games)

Got to be noted that Eriksen plays in a harder league, however the lone creative mantel and his wanting to leaving seems to have taken it's toll over the last two seasons whereas Fernandes has gradually improved his strike rate of goals and assists.

Yes every buy is a gamble, including if we can get Fernandes, but it's a shame our best player for the last five years is a shadow of his former self. We should have thanked him and let him leave for whatever we could get during the summer and put the cash towards sealing Bruno. I just hope we're not too late for Mr Fernandes and we can get him in January. I for one will always remember Christian fondly for all the good times.

The price for Fernades will be massive, not to sure we'll get near him tbh. Yep, once the dust settles Eriksen will be respected, but at present he's being a tit.

Yido you know when someone showed Eriksen stats against Everton and we thought maybe they are fake because no player can perform that badly , well talksport and sky sports were talking about him , those stats were real lol.My link also a Journalist Conor Laird showed them the stats.

If he got taken down by Walcott then he won a free kick, he played one pass inside the defender that Son didn't quite reach by inches. Statistically it's an incomplete pass.

He's woefully off his touch, not so sure he's hiding. Still, I wanted him benched from week 1 and remain of that opinion. Why he came on tonight just underlines Poch's lack of faith in others and unless Poch believes he will sign a new deal, is as pointless as it was. Shanky club foot goal included.

Haha, no Gooners on sky.

Stats are all fine and dandy, but since you refused to acknowledge Davies stats against Rose's I don't see why I should. They are Fake stats cooked up by journalists who hate on THFC with a bias eagerness that I refuse to endorse.

I think you are trying to talk about a game to cover over the goal Eriksen scored against Red Star. And your smugness is fake, you clearly fear an Eriksen revival.
