Unlucky to the England women, they gave it a good go and did their sport proud.

I know the standard isn't great when you compare to the top end but congratulations for standing up and representing the country with immense pride.

Agreed. I switched on for last 15 minutes. Gutted for Houghton. She'll feel that for a while.

From what I've seen there are a couple of players who look like they'd fit in in the men's game at some level, but there's also a lot who don't seem to be able to pass consistently.

Neville's pass out from the back philosophy is admirable and against weaker sides clearly worked well enough but I did think he was over confident in the team based off clean sheets against week nations when their next opponent was the world champs.

Yep, I watched a fair bit of this comp tbh, and the standard is poor with glimpses of really good play. Don't listen to those saying they don't go down or roll around on the floor, they do.

Our passing game looked good when on occasion the girls played some nice one touch triangles and give n goes, but all to often they would try a slide rule pass to a player totally marked in the middle.

America have some good individuals, but are just more clued up to the dirty side of the game. Our girls went OTT when they got gritty.

Millie Bright, I know this is wrong, but I kind of warmed to her for wanting to smash it up a bit. Showed it hurt.
