An occasional bogey team for us and my first live game of the season (I was out of town for Villa).

Huge cries for Lucas to start from many, probably justified although Lamela has carried on his pre-season form.

However... Sonny is back! I'm thinking he scores at least one goal, possibly a brace to announce his return.

I'd like to see Lo Celso start and Eriksen come on for him if he tires 2nd half. We need to prepared for life without Chris and GLC is hopefully the future.

One person tells me there's no issue between Poch and Verts, and he just thinks he needs to up his fitness - plus he was worried about City's pace hence picking Sanchez again.

Another has told me he's not sure Vert stays past European window deadline and that two clubs are quite serious about trying to get him. Whether that has any bearing on his inclusion I'm not sure, but unlike other contract rebels Eriksen and Toby it seems we might have real offers incoming rather than players wanting away to places that aren't prepared to put their money where their tapping up is.

Possible early season banana skin but I'd like to think we'll win and hope for a clean sheet. 3-0 Spurs. Kane & Sonny x 2

I've been championing starting with Eriksen on the bench. It worked a treat against Villa, and his start against City wasn't anything special. So, we have a chance to start Celso, with the insurance of Eriksen on the bench, providing Poch thinks he's ready.

Expect a similar type of match as the Villa one, and shooting from outside the box could once again pay dividends. It's also a good tactic to combat VAR.

Never expected to get anything against M.City but Spurs managed to get a draw.
Spurs was lucky which sometimes you need badly in a game.

The team still looks unsettled.
If Ericksen will be leaving, it will be a great loss. Just hope Lo Celso will be the perfect replacement.
Also hoping that Alderweirald and Vertongen stay as well.
Lamela to my surprise has a great game against M.City.

So Dele and Son will be back for the game.

I will go for:

Lloris

KWP Alderweirald Vertongen Rose

Sissoko Ndombele

Lamela Lo Celso Moura

Kane

As Roshan says, team is a bit unsettled, so ideally few changes for me too, one in each of the three banks max

Jan in for Sanchez in defence

Lo Celso in for Sissoko in central midfield to partner Ndombele. I know a bit of a gamble but ideal game to try it.

Front three of Moura on the right, Eriksen in the middle and Lamela left. Both wide players track back and cover fullbacks well.

Son to come on second half

Yep, they shut 7 sisters over land station so had to do the walk. The beer tap pressure was very weak as well, which is worse than closing a train station IMO. Unforgivable :niceone:

You are right.
I tried to get tickets for this game, it says sold out but on other websites they are selling the tickets as from 80 pounds and above.
I have One Hotspur + membership and still find it difficult to get a ticket.

It'll ease off soon enough, if we drop out the top 4 you'll get them very easily.

I remember in the 90s cussing for holding on the phone for 30 mins to get an Arsenal ticket. If it was only that easy now and the stadium was half the size back then too. Used to enjoy watching Jason Dozzell

4-0 Kane and Sonny two a piece.

Bruce to look even redder by full-time.

I like Roshan's team. I also wouldn't mind if we started Dele and Son. Newcastle is a potential banana skin. Honestly though, 4-0 would be a good result.

Yep, same for me thinking about it. Sanchez is the future so give Toby a rest and bring in Jan.

Would like to see Lo Celso start next to Tanguy as it might be our best bet this season. Son to come on second half for Moura or Lamela. Newcastle on paper are one of the weaker opponents and ideal to play Gio and Coco together along with Eriksen, Moura and Ndombele.

Still not enough Argentians for me

...or is it time for three centrebacks and wingbacks? Used to be our thing when Rose and Walker were flying

We donít need any holding midfielders sideways football when we are at home to these sides. Itís why we struggle.

Go with the most attacking players we have. I wouldnít bother with winks or Sissoko in this game. Not needed. Iíd have son, Moura, Kane, eriksen, Celso and ndembele, as the attacking 6.

Back 4. Of kwp, Toby, vert, rose

Loris in goal
