WHY CAN'T KANE PLAY AS A NO. 10? He's good enough to be flexible

All you guys on here always assume that Harry Kane HAS to play No. 9 but this is not necessarily so.

I'll admit it's probably his best position but he's good enough and flexible enough to play as a no. 10 and still score goals and be effective. Most people say he passes the ball like a competent midfielder so I don't necessarily see a problem and he can score from the edge or outside the area.

Just imagine if you had big, bustling, fast No. 9 like Traore and had Kane playing behind him? Also, I don't always see that Dele should be playing behind Kane. Dele is brilliant on his day but bloody inconsistent.

It's only opinion but I think that Kane is gifted enough to play either role. What are your views????

Whilst Traore isn’t a number 9, Kane at 10 does have something to do with transfers.

We shouldn’t be indefinitely cock blocked from buying strikers because of Kane.

And Kane is so greedy with his play time (as was Poch, Southgate and probably Jose) he is going to need to adapt to prolong his career

I said it last season.

We lacked pace up top with Kane as a 9, so if he played in a 10 and we had pace in front of him, with Eriksen deeper beside a DM, it would have worked better in terms of trying to play through teams.

However, Jose likes wingers, so Kane as a 9 is the only option.

It doesn't matter what position he plays as long as he is supported properly to either score or assist goals.

Imo as long as he isn't playing as a 9.5 then it is ok as we become over reliant as a detriment to the team.

Playing as a 9 gives the team more structure than as a 9.5, if we have wingers who assist.

He can play as a 10 but he doesn't have the coach who believes in another number 9 or is willing to drop Dele deeper or play through teams.

Also, if he wants goal records, managers probably want him on side and are not strong enough to sell it to him.

LOL. Actually, you're right. In fairness I meant transferring his position from a traditional centre forward to a No. 10.
