Jose clearly has no faith in Parrott....so a striker is a MUST now in this transfer window ASAP. Whoís available? Who could we try and prise away???

- Ings, would love him but Southampton would go down if they sold and they know that so wonít sell
- Cavani???? Very experienced and could just do a job until the summer
- Piatek, on loan seems low risk and if he did well he could sign permanent in the summer?
- Iíve heard so silly other rumours about Benteke etc but surely thereís got to be more options than these ones Iíve mentioned?

Got this god awful feeling weíll end up re-sign Llorente on deadline day lol that would be so annoying

I'd take llornte just now! He has skill and ability and would happily come till the end of the season I suspect/hope. He can easily hold up play and act as a target man! Pivot.

I'd love to see Parrot play but will this ever happen..

We need something but we have to realise that Kane being ever-present when fit makes coming to us a pretty unattractive proposition for big names. Jose would have to be really persuasive when telling whoever that even when Kane is back that they will have a role to play.

I have to say poch really played a big role by avoiding telling kane to rest at times. We've ended up with 2nd striker and a constantly injured lane....

I donít think itís a question of faith, the lad is 17 you just canít expect him to come in and lead the line all of a sudden.
For me Cavani would be a class signing. Can play as a target man and on other positions if needed.

Levy needs to stop messing around as the more time that passes the more points weíll drop.

Gedson looked good on his debut which shows how much new blood can help.

I remember United throwing a 17 year old Marcus rashford in vs arsenal and he scored 2. Rooney for Everton was 16 when he burst on to the scene!!! Definitely not too young - the kid scores goals for fun

I would prefer to see Parrot than buy a mediocre striker.

He's not the right profile for Jose anyway and he knows it.

He liked a tweet when Jose joined that said "well Parrott is f***ed now". Don't be surprised to see him leave, I'm sure Levy has told Jose it's his job to bring him through but he likes a stocky target man up front not a 17 year old who needs to bulk up.

Don't think for one second Jose has thought of Parrott in that role or most of the players being linked to the club. Jose won't sign an untried target man unless he's a beast.

I'd expect a Cavani, Dzeko type experienced goal getter or no one.

Wasn’t it suggested we had a £60million kitty for this window?

We should be looking for a striker with aspirations of going to the euros who is currently not getting games at his club. On loan.

Bale fits but wages to high and CL clubs won't likely allow it, so a club not in CL might also be required.

Try someone like benteke apart from being s*** , he ticks all the boxes.

Yep, lumpy striker. Maureen would turn him from s*** into fairly average. This would suit our current situation , and quench our thirst for mid table mediocrity.

Setting us up nicely for the big spend and bigger opportunity for improvement when Maureen officially takes responsibility. Lol.

Being linked with Slimani today. Getting a bit silly.
Cavani just handed in a transfer request today and his contract is up in the summer. Surely he should be a possible target. Would be a hit in the Prem I think.

The problem with cavani is his age and his injuries.

He will play a game and be out for 2-3, no point imo.

Pietak is the striker in this window and if we donít wrap this up by Wednesday he will prob end up at United.

we've enquired for Cavani but Atletico already made one approach and United will undoubtedly do so too.

I've not watched Benteke in years but I remember when people thought he'd turn out better than Lukaku. He does fit the mould of a Mourinho style striker and shouldn't cost the world. Wouldn't expect him to genuinely challenge Harry when he's back but he'd be better than nothing. I'd even go for Balotelli tbh even if we can't tell if he'd get more red cards or goals for us.

I think it's fairly clear we've got a couple long term targets that it looks like we won't get this window so we're looking at stop gaps so we can go bigger in the summer. My worry would be if we overpay for someone who isn't a primary target this window and are forced to stick with an average player longer term.

God not balotelli lol, would rather play Eric dier up front. He got send off after coming on as a sub within 7 mins.

We should be giving Parott a chance at the minute to play IMO. Donít think we can put all our eggs in his basket and expect him to be our star man but he should be getting game time and we can bring in someone like Cavani for the experience.
