No point, have enough midfielders and this late in the day of the the transfer window clubs will only let players go that are surplus to requirements. We've done that with Rose, KWP and CCV. It's exactly why Everton turned down £85m for Richarlison.

Surely this will only happen if we lose a couple of players. Theyíre saying could be lined up for a summer move though

Every point. Get rid of Dier and/or Wanyama, and get him in.

Hojbjerg is quality and to say we have enough midfielders is laughable.

Wanyama, Dier are surplus, and jury is out on Winks. Skip warrants a loan.

Lo Celso Hoj Gedson Ndombele Sissoko - great options. Could comfortably add a CDM to that

Looks like the saints coach is in a mind to let him leave.

He said something like its not good to be captain and lead the team but not sign a new contract.

Whether or not there is money to spend on players in another matter.

Where does he fit in our lineup of 4231? Are we saying Tanguy is a write off? Both Ndombele and Lo Celso have got tackling in their armoury and as I see it our potential line up in front of the defence should be:

Ndombele Lo Celso
Son Dele Bergwijn
Kane

Who does Hojbjerg replace?

Lots of people always on about who does he replace, itís bloody rotation man. What happens when Lo celso picks up an injury or suspension, or is on a run of a couple of games playing s***? What if we want to play a slightly different formation?

Gedson has not shown much so far so wonít comment on him fully yet but I havenít seen a top player so far, also he has been used more on the rigtht.

Sissoko is getting older and picking up more injuries.

So that leaves us with: winks, Ndombele, Lo celso.

Lo celso can also play further up and actually has good stats goal and assist wise playing behind a striker. Again he could cover dele when heís out of form - which is often.

Lot of rumours today linking us with Reuben Neves. Unlikely perhaps but Iím drooling at the slightest chance. Not just a ventral midfielder but an orchestrator.
Just imagine a central midfield three of Ndombele, Neves,Lo Celso....wow

I agree it's a squad game and there will be some rotation but what I'm asking is 1, is he better than Tanguy or Gio, and 2, will a captain of another team be happy moving to play second fiddle in another? I just recall Scott Parker moving to Chelsea and wasting a lot, if not the best years of his career.

Jose doesn't play a midfield 3, he plays a 2

He goes straight into our best 11 if you ask me. He plays as a proper defensive midfielder alongside a Lo Celso or tanguy

He is a natural leader and very aggressive.

I can't believe people are actually defending our current midfield two. Both N'Dombele and Lo Celso can't defend and are always injured.

Someone like Hojbjerg would do more of the tackling and donkey work to allow Ndombele and Lo Celso to strut their stuff.

If there is just one position where should spend the most money (if it was in the slightest bit possible) then it should be on a defensive midfield player. Someone who can release the more attacking players, shield the defence ,spray the ball around and set the tempo. How many players can do all that?
