Never heard of him but any DM/CB is a very good signing for me.

He is not a defensive midfielder in any way or form (He's played there once in his entire career), just a top top centreback that is better than anything we have. Give them Toby, Rose and Aurier for him.

Fair.

Edit: At least one of Toby/Sanchez/Dier/Tanganga has to improve with the help of this guy though, wouldn't write off Toby compared to the others.

My feeling is that Japhet is the future so he stays, Dier is a natural leader and will only get better at centre back. I think ti's one of the other two. Toby is aging and I find Sanchez a bit of a mre on the ball and can't read the game very well. He does however have the pace.

If it is, it's another POWERFUL STATEMENT by Levy and Mourinho.

I must admit, Sanchez IS frustrating. He's obviously the fastest in our backline but I've been a bit disappointed with him since he joined. Has he progressed?
I'm not sure.

I am a bit confused how you can not see what a poor defender Dier is, they was certainly no leadership in the last three games from what I saw from him. Sanchez was bad on Sunday but he was even worse. Dier has probably been the worst defender in the last three games I saw even with different partners.

Reports claiming inter want 60m and we donít want to offer more than 30? Hope a deal can be done but we have to sell first. Also, whereís our second striker? Is it Bale?

I think it's Bale, he played a whole season there not so long ago for Madrid when Benzema was having a bit of a do off the pitch.

We need an out and out forward more than anything in this whole window that should be our main aim,,we will gey one but it should never have took this long,,kane and sonny are playing games they should be nowhere near,, if we leave it to deadline day who ever comes in will not kick a ball for a while,,,we needed him in before this run of fixtures

Now with Bale as an option up top is any backup striker going to get anymore time than Llorente did? Not a chance. So at best any striker coming in can expect to start on the bench, hope Kane gets his usual long term mid to late season injury (missing 12 games a year) and get an average of 30 games at 30 minutes a game as Llorente did over a two year period. We now we have the added option of Bale up top too, so there's a likelyhood of that being further reduced.

Speak up any decent striker that would like to join Tottenham based on the above. Deafening silence....

I think that why the likes of Wilson etc turned us down. We now have another option in Bale and I think the wise thing is not to spend a lot of money on a sub. Liverpool spent £40m on Jota, I think we're better off sepnding money, of any, on a centreback that is better than anything we have.

Great news. If we also get Skrinair, as I expect, it will be the best window in an eternity.
