The 29-year-old man, who was not named by the court, charged onto the field June 2 and tried to attack German referee Herbert Fandel for sending off a Danish player and giving a penalty to Sweden in the final minutes of the game, with the teams tied at 3.
The lower Copenhagen City Court convicted him in September of violence and trespassing and gave him a 30-day suspended sentence and 40 hours of community service. Prosecutors appealed the sentence to the Eastern High Court, which increased it Tuesday to 20 days in jail.
The man has admitted that he was drunk and entered the field illegally, but rejected the violence charge.
A Danish player kept the fan away from the referee. Fandel abandoned the Group F match after the incident and UEFA eventually awarded Sweden a 3-0 victory.
The Danish soccer federation is suing the man for $375,500 to compensate for the decreased ticket sales and extra expenses following UEFA's decision to ban Denmark from playing its next two Euro 2008 qualifiers at its national stadium in Copenhagen.
Denmark failed to qualify for next year's tournament.
