Very pleased Tioté won't be playing, one of the roughest players in the prem from what i've seen of him and he managed to wind up Kaboul last time. Finally got the ban he certainely deserves despite the challenge that actually got him a red not being relatively that bad

Welcome to St James Park! Bit grey and overcast in the stadium. Teams news very soon, but can reveal Steven Pienaar makes debut.

Very attacking for an away game with Hutton and Bale as full backs and jenas instead of palacios, no Gomes????

We can confirm Heurelho Gomes injured his shoulder in training yesterday.

wow this is a confident lineup!

look for pienaar and bale to overlap constantly.

i bet we will effectively see a back three with bale and hutton alternating bombing down the wing. hopefully bale more than hutton though!

You sound funny Darren, saying 'we' all the time, like you've got multiple personality disorder or something lol

i have a bad feeling about this game which is quite unusual for me. It might be because i dreamt that we lost this game last night (i promise i dont dream about spurs every night) however i dont know how reliable my dreams are as our old goal keeper paul robinson scored the winner for them just after our old goal keeper paul robinson scuffed an easy catch in goal for us.

That about sums it up, really.

We're on a full week's rest essentially. Obviously we have enough to beat them - this is the kind of game we need to win to challenge for the 4th spot. I can see us winning 0-2, a close 1-1, and even them frustrating us and scoring a late winner 1-0. This one is wide open imo...

gotta say, i hate to see bale stuck at left back when he has such a juicy matchup against newcastle. maybe harry thinks he'll have more space to hit crosses from deep on the overlap. with defoe up top though, its tough to see how that will work exactly. we have NOBODY to get on the end of high crosses up front.

I'm having trouble finding something decent as well. Methinks the netnanies are on to us finally.

But I'm watching http://www.fromsport.com/v-0/16/84/v-168503.html until I find something better.

harry is stupid for forcing bale to play this game. we signed pienaar, newcastle have ton's of people out, bale is tired and we force him to play a more physical position against joey barton.

wasteful move by harry imo.

cheers spurious, I got one on sopcast.

Bale is screwed, oh dear. Only plus is, if Bassong has a good game at LB, we will suddenly have another option there..
