Chuffed to bits mate! yahoo.gif

The whole country is set alight by this result and the Dutch Fever has reached boiling point. The whole country is starting to colour orange and the spirits are high after this historical win over Brazil.

Now we'll have to deal with Uruguay in the semi-final. To be honest I don't think we have a lot to fear from them, especially now they will miss some of their defenders due to suspension and injury and of course Suárez after his heroic red card by stopping that strike on the goal line in the last minute of extra time. So I'm confident we will get to the final.

Only concern at this point is our defence. Joris Mathijsen had to pull out 30 minutes before the game. Ooijer is far from an ideal substitute for him. He's so past it. He went from Blackburn to PSV last season, landed on the bench after some very poor dipslays, is currently out of contract...but does play for Holland against Brazil. It's unbelievable. I personally hope Mathijsen is fit for the next 2 matches. Otherwise I would prefer Boulahrouz at the back as he has more pace and is stronger in the air.

Can I just say Van Persie is the most disappointing Dutch striker at a World Cup I've ever seen? So much words from him how he wanted to play in the striker role and he hasn't repaid the confidence Van Marwijk has put in him. If he doesn't come up with the goods against Uruguay I really hope there will be a shuffle in Holland's front line.

congrats stephan!

im pulling for the dutch to make the finals at this point. shouldn't be too hard although forlan is willing uruguay to victories these days. enjoyed watching you guys play today. hope the germans can thump the argentinians as i am tired of their diving, hacking and other assorted gamesmanship.

Germans do it again, turn up at a WC unfancied and have a great tournament (without their big name star Ballack)

Would be a cracker and I do hope we can finally beat the Germans and take revenge for 1974. Our team spirit is stronger than ever and the lads really want this more than any other Dutch team ever wanted it. They're in it to win it, nothing more nothing less.

Don't under estimate Uruguay, you should beat them but they are dangerous.
