We now find our-selves once again at home this time to a rather struggling Newcastle side, who currently sit seven points behind us in the League. Last Saturday saw then beat Fulham, Keegans first win since his return. Against Newcastle in the past we have had a mixed bag of results, but if current form is anything to go buy, then we should gain all three points.

The last time we played them was on 22nd October 2007, where we lost 3-1, our scorer on that day was Robbie Keane, and we conceded goals from Martins, Cacapa, and Milner. As I recall that was a bit of a bad tempered game.

A few wins and many goals have since been scored and we will take our new found confidence and winnning mentality into this match, but we must not underestimate them just because of their current leaue position, as they will obviously be all out to prove that their current position is a false one. I personally do not think so though.

Our last game against a weakened pompey side saw us having to be very patient to get the break through, although I honestly thought we were in full control, with the exception when they had one really good chance to score from kanu header, and with Robbos hesitation it would have been a goal but Zakora came to the rescue.

This is a different ball game they will be out to attack and try and get an early breakthrough, but that will leave them exposed to our very quick counter attacks, and this is where I really see us winning the game. With the likes of Huddlestone put the long ball through for our forwards to latch on to, and for crosses from the wings for our big men in the center. I take us to win 3-1 or greater.
