Spurs to leave White Hart Lane?

According to reports Spurs are looking into the potential of building a new stadium on a trading estate just yards from their current home, White Hart Lane. The site called the Wingate estate is found north of White Hart Lane, behind the Paxton Road end, between Tottenham High Road and Worcester Avanue.

The plan would mean that Spurs would continue to play at White Hart Lane whilst the stadium was constructed, and remove the need for a controversial ground share, potentially with West Ham.

The new area would allow for a stadium with a capacity of around 55,000 something the club has been looking to create through a various options for many years. Although permission has yet to be granted and settlements with all the business who would have to leave the area would have yet to be reached. It looks like a relatively sound idea which will please many of the Spurs faithful.

The ground at the moment is not actually in White Hart lane. It is call such because of the train station (I think). So can the new stadium still be called White Hart Lane? I would hate the name to be sold and end up being something like \'Emirates\'

Arsenal got paid £100 million to name their ground after an airline. Money for nothing, yes please.
