Lee Departs as Arshavin Arrives

Spurs’ South Korean international full-back Young-Pyo Lee has today left White Hart Lane to join German club Borussia Dortmund after agreeing the terms of an initial one year deal.

Lee made 93 appearances for Spurs following his move from PSV Eindhoven in 2005, but like many others the 31-year-old has found himself surplus to requirements under the management on Juande Ramos and is the 8th player to leave the club over the course of the summer.

Meanwhile BBC Sport are reporting that Andrei Arshavin’s proposed summer move to White Hart Lane could now be revived before the transfer deadline is reached in just five days time.

Arshavin has been linked with a move to Spurs for some time after an impressive tournament in the European championships; however Zenit’s decision to play hard-ball formerly saw negotiations break down between the two clubs.

Now, less than two weeks since Spurs broke off talks with Zenit St Petersburg, and with time running out before the close of the transfer window, it appears the club have controversially opted to cut their valuation of the Russian international.

As it stands, anything could happen and I guess it is just a waiting game to see if we have an announcement from the club over the next few days.
